  • 0:00 Feel free to use this for replay purposes. I know I will.

  • No band like Metallica!

  • alot of metallica fans say this sucks.. thats coz they suck

  • As someone who has listened to Metallica my entire life and learned to play them quite efficiently, I can honestly say that A) This is my favorite Metallica album and B) This is my favorite Metallica song.

  • I just don't understand why people are purposely looking up Metallica songs on youtube, they know they don't like and then bash it....what's the point? or they are still looking up metallica and saying I haven't liked metallica since the Justice album....so then why are you still looking them up? I have loved everything that Metallica has done with the exception of St. Anger, eventhough I didn't like it I don't look up st. anger songs and write about how much i hate them.

  • \m/

  • Man, back in the day, not so long ago, maybe 10 years ago, there was no myspace, facebook, ps3, we use to walk to our friends house, we used to write our close friends phone numbers on paper, and we use to have real friends, there were no bad comments, if somebody didn't like what others had to say, you tell him face to face, our not say nothing a all, we used to laugh together not at each other, back in the day we used to go to the fields and have bonfires and there were no lines back in d day.

  • @moogie0007 no kidding man that brings back memories when my buddies and I would sit around listining to every metallica album ever written and then decide to form a band and play their music man that takes me back and this song reminds me of all the teenage problems we had and how we overcome them. Long live Metallica and R.I.P Cliff Burton

  • @moogie0007

Write phone numbers on paper? I suppose the very first time, yes. I still have some pieces of paper laying somewhere in a box with phone numbers. But for the close friends. I've got those numbers in my head. They're still in my head, I can't forget those numbers. Today, same friends, but a cell phone number... those numbers I don't know. It's kind of sad what we have allowed technology to steel from us.

  • Fuck the haters. They just can't face the fact that Metallica matured and wasn't going to be writing the same old shit for 30 fucking years (cough cough, Slayer) This is just as good as their first four albums.

  • First of all, you guys should stop bashing each other Metallica is and will always be the greatest heavy metal band ever. Also, as far as the christian thing without your Baptism you are no Christians your Baptism and the grace of Jesus Christ is what saves you not anything you do in this life. Everyone messes up that is why God sent Jesus. Peter denied Christ three times and yet Jesus made him the head of his Church. Thankyou

  • brb. gotta slap my parents for not giving me birth 10 years earlier. 1983 wouldve been amazing.

  • im 13, i say i need to go back to the mid 70s, then form a thrash band, that would be pretty awesome..

  • i think i just had an eargasm

  • Is it bad that I'm 15 and I know for damn sure I don't belong in this era... I know I belong in the early 80's...

  • @SchrapnelGaming dude me too either the 80's or 90's, this era sucks balls

  • @SchrapnelGaming no, there's few of us that feel that way and we just need to look for each other so that we may unite!

  • 2nd best song on ReLoad after Fixxxer

  • i just close my eyes and cry

  • GOD thank u for this awsome band tht u gave us..and thanks for these ears u blessed us wit to hear...this band fell straight from heaven bc they were to kick ass for hell...rappers die slow this music well remain till the end of days

  • i like how james doesnt need any auto tune or anything to modify his voice unlike most present day musicians.

  • James has a huge vocal range on this song, really great stuff

  • In case you stupid asses didn't know, which I'm sure you didn't, rap originated from white men that were in prison. So suck on that you retards.

  • @theaccushot no you fuking dumbass it didnt, it came from black artists who sang in new york way back when, Where did u get that load from??

  • @kodipowers Um, actually, it did. Sorry, can't rewrite history man. The only major useful role any nigger has played in society is being a slave. You're not worth my time you insipid, neurotic moron. Pay attention in school. I know you're 15.

    I'm 14 though.

So I would think you would be more educated than me.

    Apparently thats not the case.

Rap originated from white men, in prison, foot tapping on the floor, clapping hands, playing harmonicas, and singing.

    You're just a...

    Oh Yeah!

    Retard.

  • @theaccushot hey,for real ,where did u get ur info saying where rap came from?im interested. give me a education youngster.i enjoy useful knowledge of our history.

  • @foolishdragon666 Finally!!! Someone who cares about whether he is giving the correct facts in a conversation!!! It's very relieving really. I'll post you a message on your wall page, thingy.

  • @theaccushot alright you fucking red neck im half black and you just stepped over the line. you ingnorat little fuck i bet your buck tooth dad beats you and your moms fat and his bitch, your probably from alamama you no-education-having-fuck. if you went to school and ever took a music course you would know white people never were involved in the making of rap. dont start shit unlesss you know what your talking about. if you honestly dont belive me go look it up on google. FUKING RED-NECK

  • @kodipowers o ur just a fucking nigger go wank off to the ugly whores that shake their skanky asses at the screen for sum wanna b niggers or niggers in general u peice of shit dont run ur mouth over the internet like ur gonna do sumthin u dirty sum bitch

  • @MrCountryboy778

    "Don't run your mouth..."

Take your own advice. You don't help great artists like Metallica by being a douche.

  • @kodipowers hey! im from that there bama and i am highly edjumicated!!! im also half black, half white and half mexican...i think theres another half indian in there somewhere. but no fo realz, i dont even know what the dude said but i aint got no sympathy for u, i hate that AL stereotype u prejudice hypocrite!!!

  • @theaccushot rap.about.com/od/rootsofraphiphop/p/RootsOfRap

check the sight out PLEASE.....oh and if you looked up history of rap on google or TOOK A MUSIC COURSE seeing as google may not be too reliable on facts, you would find that your wrong, and if your honestly too ignorent to see that than go fuck yourself. your in idiot for beliving whoever told you that music was invented by a bunch of white guys...

  • @theaccushot i clap for you good sir

  • well, recent ly went thro a struggle and this song explained so much to me

  • this decsribes Metallica from 1981-1983

  • guys can you just fucking shut up about the rap music and listen to the song for once this is stupid here

  • @SUPERCHARGER2001 they cant hear you, they're too busy typing

  • this song and a few others on metallica setlist got me throught some damn sad times in 2008 kinda of depressing but not suicidal-ish

  • can anyone tell me why this is the best Metallica song of all time? and the one that gives me chills every time i listen to it, yeah that's right only Metallica can do that to every song like this, best band of all time with every album racking up 'em charts, keep doing it Metallica, and only a true fan loves every song and every album, from Kill 'Em All all the way to Death Magnetic, keep playing Metallica and pleasing your fans.

  • best slow

    song of all time

  • i wanna diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Ya know......I really don't feel like arguing with anyone for the first time in my life...

I think this song reminds me of what life was like for me outside of this apartment.

I guess everyones' opinion is right depending on who reads it.

I own all of Metallica's albums, but this is the one that made cry for the first time in years...

  • @NomoTheDomo the 80's were better, they had kooler cartoons (: and my dad had a TransAm.

  • Son of a bitch! I'm only 15 and I say GIVE ME BACK THE 90's! The smell of cigarettes that stained the warm leather of my dad's Firebird as we cruised listening the awesome sounds of the Artists of caliber of Metallica! Then going back home to have a bonfire and blast the radio!

  • @NomoTheDomo fuck the 90's, give me the 80's. (not that the 90's sucked, but thats where rap was born :/ ) GREAT ALBUM AND SONG!

  • @AndJusticeForAll1231 Rap was born in the 80s. The 90s had good rap. Lrn2Music.

  • @T3RryOrw3LL well, the 90's was trippy rap, which i dont like, 80's rap was "bad rap" like it wasnt good, or bad you know what i mean? and todays rap is gay guys acting tough and struggling to hold their pants up. How many mosh pits do you see at a rap concert? none, because they carry guns because they cant fight for real. i like hard ass shit, not a guy rapping about how hes better than everyone else

  • @AndJusticeForAll1231 Sweaty, shirtless guys rubbing against each other is hardass shit? Wow, interesting.

  • @T3RryOrw3LL where in this do you see shirtless men rubbing against eachother? they all are seperate on stage in all their concerts, the only "metal" bands that do that are glam metal bands

  • @AndJusticeForAll1231 I was referring top your manly mosh pit sweat-rubbing sessions.

  • @T3RryOrw3LL oohh, you must be mistaken, i was referring to mosh pits where you beat the shit out of each other and thrash, not what your thinking of

  • @AndJusticeForAll1231 Sorry, I've most likely seen more of them than you have and it's just a bunch of sweaty guys rubbing tits, no fists flying anywhere.

  • @T3RryOrw3LL that may be at the stupid bullet for my valentine concerts or any others, but im talking about the mosh pits in the 80's at Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, and Pantera concerts(which only the pantera ones were in the 90's), not trying to be an argumentative dick here but im just trying to prove a point

  • @NomoTheDomo i agree with u all the way im only fourteen and i beileve in exactly fuck rap fuck pop fuck r&b fuck anything that isnt good like this...

  • @NomoTheDomo

Haha, awesome that you dig the 90s so much. Hard to imagine someone as young as you could be so fond of a time they were barely consciously aware of. There were many more great things about the 90s beyond Metallica and this awesome song. Its crazy (or is it?), but when I listen to this song, I hear late 90s. Other songs I -hear- early 90s. Each distinctly different from the other, and each distinctly superior to most of the garbage we get today.

  • @NomoTheDomo

  • @73hhK41 Totally man, there is such a difference in early and late 90's it's pretty cool how we came so far so fast.. and then wish we could go back again..

  • @NomoTheDomo thats whats up dude

  • @NomoTheDomo bro. if you're 15 you couldn't've been more than 5 or 6 at the time. you don't know jack about the 90s

  • @GUYMANNLY I don't know why you feel you feel the need to be such a downer, but I'm pretty sure I remember kindergarten. I also have photo albums, with photos of my parents and relatives a few years before my birth. Also things from the 90's still exist, and it's not just the date, and the literal days of my childhood (Although I do remember a lot) it's the feel and the culture. Things like the cars, the people's attitudes, the events, the music.. Have a nice day bro, light a fire, have a drink.

  • @NomoTheDomo Classic heathen lifestyle.

  • @TheHateHarbinger Either, you're in favor of heathen lifestyle or you are really confused, because last time I checked enjoying life didn't mean you were and Atheist. I'm a christian guy, but obviously we have different views here. Also take note, making comments like that on a Metallica music video is asking for trouble.. I also notice your name is HateHarbinger, and you favourite videos like CopperCab Has A Nervous Eruption, and you watch Jersey Shore, truly you are a model christian person.

  • @NomoTheDomo And creeping around on my channel makes you "a better christian"? Right.. Well sir, I probably apply more Christian faith in life in situations more than you, and I apoligize for making that accusation, because the only people Ive ever seen with what you just posted, are heathens. Being a Christian, you and I should both know better than to accuse one another. Asking for trouble? I'd ignore it. I made this name, TheHateHarbinger, when I was lost, and didn't have Christ. Good day sir

  • @TheHateHarbinger Well then, glad you saw the light, but I never claimed to be a "Better Christian." I'm just a guy, who believes in God, and isn't fond of insulting comments. You seem like another christian person who thinks they get to heaven by good deeds, and donations. I'm sorry but we're all sinners, and their is nothing we can do about it, so we try our best to stay in top shape, but don't obsess. I like how you spend your free time mocking people on videos you don't approve of anyway.

  • @NomoTheDomo this guy = fag

  • @SullivanandFriends this guy = wasting my time

  • @NomoTheDomo Hell yeah.

  • @NomoTheDomo yep those must have been the good old days

  • metallica has such heart.......this is just another example of it!

  • If Metallica ever manages to make a pathetic song, slap yourself in the face and wake up to reality. Metallica doesn't make bad songs, people say they do because they can't face reality.

God Bless Metallica and God Bless America

  • @MetallicaFannatic FUCKING NICLEY SAID DUDE NICE!!

  • This is one of the best songs Metallica produced post-Black Album. I for one always enjoyed their southern-styled, Skynerd-esque bluesy rock throughout Load and Reload. Sure, it's not Ride The Lightning, but it has a quality all it's own and shows some range in the band that many established acts only wish they could exhibit.

  • So low, the sky is all I see...

  • great mellow song

  • Comment removed

  • na i was drunk just playin stupid but ya gota admit it is a great one froma great band yes !!! sorry to any that i offended until i drink again not soon but ya never no !!! jspat peace lol sorry

  • i swear it i hear any fuckin shit about the best song ever written i will travel to kick ya ars 6;5 330 solid dare yta

  • @MrJspat Was that supposed to scare people? I don't even think it's completely clear what you're trying to say.

  • Being a true fan means understanding the artists vision.. the fact that Metallica has done what they have and pumped out some of the most powerful lyrics.. it is all a sign of their growth as a group. In the early days they shred like no other, but compared to today's mediocre screamo guys that sound like women and all the same.. they are still much better.

  • @TonyRedgrave78 Or, in Abnormality's case, women that sound like men.

Look up Visions, by Abnormality if you don't know already.

  • in 6th grade i used to have my mp3 player playing the whole re-load album every day, this has to be one of metallica's best albums. lol

  • @MyNameIsQuil When i was in 6th grade... We had tape players still.

  • @obeyance lol. thats nice.

  • This song suits very well how I've been feeling,I plan on exiting this existence sometime soon, like I said, this song is very fitting, thanks for posting.

  • @revolver041 I'm glad that you found such comfort through music. i know what that's like. music takes you places that no roads lead to. hope all is well brother.

  • all the true metallica fans say that after and justice for all, metallica sux. but i love this song and so many more. people my age learned the new and then the old. which i respect even more.

  • This was the best band I've ever seen live, I can't wait to see them again someday :) was the best night of my life!

  • 30 people were left out in the rain.

  • if you dont like this song, there's wrong with you

  • this song is like fade to black, sanitarium, unforgiven, nothing else matters, mama said, and the day that never comes becuz all these are so meaningful and all of metallica's songs are great! whos with me!

  • This song is awesome.

  • i wouldve loved it if they made a music video of this song. epic...

  • @akdk95 really?

  • me encanta esta cancion metallicapor siempre

me da lo mismo que digan que metallica es psero o alguna tontera como esa

    siempre metallica

  • @georgedarrell26 habla ingles

  • I like Reload, Load, and St.Anger

  • @razer3230 You say i like this i like that.. I say. I love everything from metallica :) <3

  • @razer3230 i like all albums

  • Do you want to hear something weird? Then listen up: On my copy of Reload, this song is called NuHorizons !

  • @akdk95 what.

  • @lookslikeharry2 idk what it says on the cover, but when i ripped it to itunes, the song was called NuHorizon, but all the other songs was the normal name:P

  • love this song.. reminds me of a sad point, the lowest point of my life back in 2005.

but not in a sad depressing way, lol..

more like a reminder that no matter how alone we feel, there are tons of others going through the same struggles & pains each of us are. :)

  • @lisseyful what happend in 2005?

  • @violentstuff2

Weird, I'm just now seeing a reply lol.

I was stupid, I lost my home, then my great job at CIGNA, then lost my car, and some friends. Thanks Meth!! It's all good now though. I was only 22, so I'm at least glad I got it out of my system before having a son. :) I guess we all have reminders of things, but stuff like this kinda hit's the not-so-funny bone.

  • At first I didn't liked Load and Reload really much, but I realized it has got very nice songs :D

  • I'm alone at CHRISTMAS. Every year is the same -.-

Fuck, I love this song at Christmas.

  • @tehlatino1

I wish you a merry christmas and I'm sure you won't be alone next Christmas!

  • @ThomasAH Thanks =(

  • the best song in the world

  • NICE SONG I LIKE...METALLICA..&..GUNS N ROSES THE BEST OF THE WORLD

  • is this song about an addiction to heroin?

  • I want this song played at my funeral.

  • @jodyoverdoser i agree its badass anuf to b played at my funeral \m/

  • @MrCountryboy778 Thats right Kordell, I know who you are. Dyllan sees all, knows all, and tells all...for a price of course. Long live H.O.S.!!! We may have ended it all that day. But we will always rule this city! \,,/ -_- \,,/

  • I love all of metallica's albums, but NOT load and reload, but this song is maybe on of their best!

  • this is maybe their`e weirdest song ever, nowhere near what people think of when they hear the word Metallica :P but it`s a good song, and i allways think it sounded kinda scottish.. they are using a weird instrument here

  • @grindmaggots666 Poor twisted me is their wierdest song xD This one is different, but still amazing

  • Comment removed

  • @T7Champ it's a strange instrument called a hurdy gurdy.

  • love this album so much !!

  • Thank u for the Death Magnetic tour guys! You kick some serious a**, and made my years.

  • love this music *-*

  • Metallica wil always live in the hearts of real fans

  • @db118148 ..Amen!

  • @db118148 metallica is never leaving my heart(:

  • @a7xgodsmack me too

  • @a7xgodsmack i will never hate metallica and rock becuz this reminds me of a lot of stuff tht happened in my life which im only 12 rite now and have no father, metallica and rock keeps me alive in spirit

  • @metal3152 Keep goin man. Youre doin the right thing by just listening to good music and keeping your head high. Youre an oddity in this world. Keep it up.

  • @db118148 fuc yeeeeee goosebumps!

  • Im starting to seriously LOVE this albums....you begin to understand what "Load" and "ReLoad" are about when you grown up a little bit.

  • Melbourne should be blessed.....5 Gigs and the honour of the last show on the World Tour. Melbourne sincerely loves MetallicA. Look forward to next year with the other 3 together as the BIG 4. Thankyou Metallica. you made thousands of people very vrey f**kin happy. Enjoy your time off.

  • lethal song from one of there best albums

  • @starkiller420nyl - It's an underrated song....but Re-Load is definitely in the lower half of their albums. There is no possible way it can be in the Top Five thanks to...

    Kill Em All

    Ride The Lightning

    Death Magnetic

    Master of Puppets

    ...And Justice For All

    The Black Album

That's not in a particular order.

  • @osukdawg76 Actually, load should also be in that list, if you can totally understand how emotional that album is and you like that kind of music it becomes really obvious. Although I agree that as a whole, reload is not great.

  • @osukdawg76 depending on how you feel.... if you were depressed you would probably change it :P

  • this song is sooooooooooo magic

  • BEST!!!!!!!!

  • These guys are the kings of thrash metal and I would love to hear an album that accentuates that. Death Magnetic was a start I'm not expecting them to sound like every thrash metal band out there because well that wouldn't be Metallica. I have allways loved their instrumentals and thats one thing that set them aside from alot of other thrash metal bands that and meaningful lyrics. I'm not knocking them or any other band I'm just waiting for their masterpiece.

  • @deadskinmask213 Master Justice Kill Ride and Black where theit masterpieces... Their first 5 albums

  • @clayandaaron I would like to think they have at least 1 good album left in them. I have spent years trash talking Metallica I'm still not happy with them but hey man they were my favorite band untill they released Load and Reload. I'm just hoping that the touring they have done as part of the Big 4 along with being under the wing of Rick Rubin will help get their priorities back in order. Then again you can wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up first.

  • @deadskinmask213 A true fan likes all of there music.

  • @4029861 By your standards I'm not a true fan of any band then. You have good and bad with any band out there. A true fan isn't affraid to criticize their favorite bands or give them props when they deserve it.

  • @clayandaaron

load and reload is really nice and st-anger to and dead magnetic too!!!!

  • @BIGDAY2 yeah they are, i think all their albums are awesome, Kirk Hammet stated that they are going to the studio in May, but it's not going to be 100% a Metallica album.

    What will it be?

    A cover album?

    A tribute album?

A album like Load or Reload?... Who knows. Maybe they are remastering AJFA?

  • @clayandaaron I'd like to see them take another shot at St. Anger, only do it in the way Metallica could have made it sound, not the way it came out.

Rewrite the songs were needed, and above all, use the traditional Metallica drumming, not that trash can lid sound that Lars did on St. anger

  • This song is beautiful it has a nice feel to it. It was my favorite song from the album. I will admit I was mad when these 2 albums were released but in time they grew on me. They are really good albums but they were not what I was expecting at the time. Now that I am 31 I can go back and listen to them without all the frustration I felt at the time when they came out. I am extatic Metallica started working with Rick Rubin and ditched Bob Rock.

  • this song is legendary....there are a few guitar covers on youtube...but id love to see a hurdy gurdy cover of it...and for those who dont know wat a hurdy gurdy is...in the track it sounds like bagpipes/harmonica.

  • @639653263626

i know, we dont play that instrument but i think our cover is very good, maybe you can come and watch it, cheers !!!

  • this song is fucking great

  • please foooooorgive meeaaa.....

  • did you know that instrument that kinda sounds like a high acordian is actually called a hurdygurdy lol :)

  • strangely I don't find this song as sad as it should sound! To me it sounds like Freebird by Lynrd skynrd as more 'accept me as I am cos tho I don't always like myself I can't change (totally) or completely correct my mistakes either(any more than anybody else) and tomorrow's a new day-try again'! It more like a beautiful (adult) lullaby-with hope! the 'hurdy-gurdy bagpipes that ruin it' as someone said sound like the end of day of a fairground when you KNOW tomorrow it will start again FRESH!

  • by far the most underated mettalica song! love this song its so touching!

  • load and reload are underated

  • @horseylassx1 No shit sherlock.

  • @horseylassx1 You wish

  • @TheShortestStruuaaww you wish you could be better than metallica

  • @horseylassx1 Yup. Sure do.

  • @TheShortestStruuaaww too bad it aint gonna happen

  • @horseylassx1 I know it sucks. I'll just be playing covers of their good stuff in my little homemade studio.

  • @TheShortestStruuaaww same here, but what do ya mean by good stuff?

  • @horseylassx1 I agree. 2000%

  • @horseylassx1 Probably with Kill em all their best albums.

  • @horseylassx1 Load and Reload have never gotten the attention they rightfully deserve. for those of us that appreciate their music, metallica truly is god-sent. i can't even attempt to explain what metallica has done for me. their music literally changed my life. there are certainly great composers out there, but what James Hetfield has done for this band and for music in general is arguably unmatched by any artist of any genre. (if you don't believe me, check the stats)
