  • these houses look haunted

  • 2:44 left for dead 2........o.o

  • Sometimes makes me wonder if these are abandoned if they're in good enough shape if someone would let someone buy them cheap and fix them up. Sorry I just like doing stuff like that if it isn't trashed too much.

  • i think it is a travisty that old homes are left to rot. a house is like a person...it is born, it has a life and that time of activity dies...that does not mean the building hass to die. it should be allowed a new life, be it with other people, or put to a better use. waht a waste of craftmanship and of shelter. there needs to be a national endowment for the preservation of buildings. new life into old strcture. it is sad....something should be done.

  • These houses stay up forever but the homes of some people battered by Tornadoes lately (March 2,3,4 of 2012) get blown to smithereens sometimes 3 times in 30 years! I don't know how those poor folks deal with it, i feel so bad for them.

  • so many homeless people, so many peopleless houses????? Beautiful shots. My dream is to buy something like one of these & bring it back to life

  • I can see why these homes stay abandoned. I have an older home and it is costing a fortune to repair rotted floors, faulty plumbing, roof replacement, etc.

  • what happens that these home are left to rot. if taken care of they would still look like new and be livable. never understood this.....

  • What would be really cool is to know the history and why these houses were abandoned....such neat architecture ...style ...and design....any one of these houses could have still been a great house to live in if they had been kept up.....great pictures...thanks

  • I have lived in worse

  • 1:11 is amazing

    and 1:51 & 4:15

  • something is really creepy about this.

  • 0:46 isn't that the texas chainsaw massacre house?

  • oh, if wood and brick could only talk....

  • @DewbieHaut.....really good job....many of these houses has such great details and iron artwork...you can't get such work like this anymore....thanks for sharing

  • @curlyfry44 thanks for watching and appreciating these homes. they become more rare everyday

  • Are these all in the same particular area or just random houses spotted at different times?

  • I would like to know where some of these house are.

  • LOVE THIS VID would be good if it said what town/state each house was in.

  • These all look so cool. Would love to explore! I have a fascination with derelict buildings. Wish I knew where more were :). I found a cool house that I uploaded a video of if anyone is interested in seeing :)

  • where are these homes at??some are so beautiful, and can be restored

  • Spectacular photography! Those walls must have witnessed so much over the decades. Families were born and raised in these homes. Laughter and tears. Joy and sorrow. Daily life and even death. How many times did the families gather at the dining room table for meals? I wonder if any parents got the dreaded telegram from the US Government saying "WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU..." telling them that their son was not coming home from a far away place. So much living happened in those now dead houses.

  • these houses are just beautiful, it seems like such a waste to just let them die

  • This needs narration

  • that bronco would not have been abandoned if i was there

  • 4:24 did the adams family used to live there ??

  • Is the one that is at 1:20 looks fresh did u go in?

  • It's kind of sad these houses were left to rot. Most of them looked like used to be really gorgeous homes!

  • I think that "Eleanore Rigby" would have been a more suitable song as background music as it sort of sets the tone.

  • The pics are awesome! I live in North Carolina and we have alot of those old houses still standing. Thanks for saying where you took the pics. I would buy several of them if the the pocketbook had the cash lol. I grew up in an old one that was built in 1850 and its still standing as well. Great job. i'm kinda nosey like you and would have ventured into several of them, just to look ..Marie

  • stunning collection ;)

  • thats the jam right there!

  • I Love the old wooden 2 story homes (similar to one at 1:37), the character in them is soo beautiful. Their is one a couple miles from my parents its been abandon for many many years, I go by it and I get sad bc the woodwork in there has to be beautiful. I plan on gettin some land in the county, and get the plans to one, and buildin one in the style just make it a smidge bigger and more insulated, hardwood though out usin recalmed barn wood, & the details on the banisters, things done by amish.

  • 1:48 what a beauty she would have been in the day

  • SOME PLACES MAKE YOU WONDER HOW AND WHY IT WAS ABANDONED...

  • nope, nothing scary about these places, not scary at all, ARRRGGGGGGG!!!!

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOO !!!!! BOOGIE MAN IS IN THE HOUSE!!!

DO NOT ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISKS

  • It's so depressing to see what were such nice houses looking so bad.

  • 3:18 looks like Jenny's house from Forrest Gump, 4:22..is that the house from Psycho?!

  • Well, I liked the music a lot.

I'm pretty sure the house at 1:50 is a George Barber design. It makes me sick to see it in that condition. Where is it? Any idea?

  • Brilliant video... HATE the music.. The music is horrid

  • @Imhissweetestsin it's from SimCity 4, lol. I thought I recognized it...

  • there are a lot of abandoned houses on cranston street in cranston ri

  • I bet most of them are hunted !! by spooky creepy ghost

  • @frankiev1231 I agree with you! That may be why no one lives there anymore.

  • some of these places could be fixed up and given to poor families

  • Cool, creepy pics of abandoned houses (and maybe some hospital-lie facilities?)...but where you REALLY shine is in several of your interior shots - 1:53 & 3:08 especially (I even paused these 2 to make screen captures of them in Word), now THOSE really make one's hair stand on end, and make the imagination go really wild. 3:05 is also an excellent example of mood provocation. Well done!!

  • You can see that some of these old homes were once showplaces...be neat to know the history behind them also...

  • Don't think the music really fits, but thanks for uploading such cool pics.

  • @MrMaypole14 I don't know ~ sorta does in a wierd sorta way lol (to me anyway)

  • SimCity music. Nice!

  • take any pictures of it?

  • and the mortgagee of record is... M E R S !!!

  • Absolutely LOVE THE simcity 4 song. :) very fitting :)

  • Do you know if there are any more pics of the house at 2:42

  • These photos are fantastic! Good music with them, too.

  • I love the Queen Anne victorian homes...They would be treasured on infill lots in Atlanta...

  • Great pics! If you look above the door at 4:17 you can see what looks likes a Christmas Wreath still hanging there. Did you get permission to go inside or did you just roll the dice and trespass?

  • If it looks safe enough I roll the dice, otherwise I do only exterior shots. i like to get inside if i can though

  • It is sad that all these house were abandoned Becuase I love old house they have so much more personality to them then all the modern houses.

  • Absolutely agreed, even after being abandoned for so long they still hold their place for many years. New houses are just a quickly-built box, without wonderful woodwork or decent materials

  • urban explorers . net

cool site if you like abandoned forgotten places

  • Haunting, intriguing, each beautiful in their own way yet all look sad without life inside of them. Love the pictures.

  • some of these homes look like they could be restored. maybe? Would be pretty awesome to be able to do that...and others look like they need to be put to rest.

  • 3:04 MY FAVORITE HOUSE! :D

  • In the days these houses were built the people had farms and lots of children. They took in relatives, grandparents lived with their children. Shame they're left to ruin.

  • @meddetect10 The houses, however, not the relatives!:)

  • Real people lived in these homes before they become just houses with no souls like so many of the houses purchased as investments and not homes over the last several decades. I am okay with dozing the newer inatimate houses built since the 70's here in America but not these elderly gems!!!

  • Oh you doze houses? sounds like an enjoyable job. I agree, old homes are so well-built, its shameful when theyre torn down. However your job dictates that it must be done!

  • 0:33 if you look hard enough you can see me in the window ;)

  • I bet a lot of these homes are in Canada or the midwest and in towns that are dead.I liked the house or hosp at the 3:36 mark.

  • how on earth could anyone have some of them as houses i really dont know, there like castles!. I can imagine you'd have to have a massive family..am i right?. How on earth do they not get lost, gees!.

  • Ha Ive wondered the same thing. I dont think Id want such a huge house...theyre nice but cold in the winters. unless its in Florida!

  • @xXxSPStyleLoverzxXx Families used to be bigger. My mother is 1 of 8 and they had 3 cousins, an uncle, and a girl's who's parents had died living with them when they grew up. My grandfather reciently passed away and left that house to my Aunt. Most of it is barely used now that it only has 2 people living it, but at least its being maintained and cared for...even if it does feel empty these days.

  • Excellent footage!!! Did the pictures all come from the same state or did they come from across the U.S.? You have done a great job!!!

  • something almost beutiful about these houses in the snow

  • I was going to ask where you took these pictures, You take beautiful photos, great composition

  • Simcity music

  • I like the cat looking out. Did you find any other wildlife in any of those houses? Racoons or snakes even?

  • Ive found a dead dog, and an occasional live raccoon. no snakes, thankfully! or "snakefully"

  • @DewbieHaut The Cat killed the dog XD

  • I would like to know where some are at and what states????

  • DewbieHaut, where is the Victorian at 1:18? What city and state? I'm very interested!!

  • I think it was in Gary, not exactly sure. its my favorite of them all

  • great video. the porn-jazz music really took away from the creepiness though.

  • you should of took a camcorder inside these houses

  • From now on im gonna do that

  • goodness houses in the really old days were huge!!

  • why jus take pics of them? what normal person wants to watch pictures of a house noone lives in. only the gay people are leaving contsructive comments. what i wanna ask is if all these are abandoned why didnt just smash some of them up. ur one of those annoying gay nerdy people with no life. hope u die tbh

  • Only gay people leave constructive comments? Yours is quite constructive I agree. Youve tried to bother me in the past. You dont spell very well. If I had no friends Id do the same thing you do...

  • @DewbieHaut what are u even on about? i dont care how i spell on the internet im not even trying u dumbass. and when did i bother u before? i dont even know u. and u mean if HAD some friend u would do what i do and smash stuff up because u normally do it with ur friends
