@6235river Bones and Castle don't have much in common. In Bones, Brennan is a forensic anthropologist. It's her job, being a writer is just a bonus for her. It's all about the science.

Castle, however, focuses on good old detective work rather than forensic analysis, there's no fancy equipment or lab and the main character basically knows about crime only through research he had to do to write his books.

Completely different approach.
