Audience involvement is critical here.The movie starts with this odd image of a man on top of the thing he is right next to.Flash to a sky with rapidly moving clouds, presumably the image that the man is currently recording.Essentially what we are seeing is the "how" of the film arriving to us before the "what"...it is a monumental thought process in just 2 shots.
It also shows a lot of interesting things I would never otherwise see
