No Problem, ive read a couple of reviews today, it should be able to play up full hd (bluray) with not problem. Also if you can. Could you make some more videos with this PC ? mabye when you run a game or something so i know kinda how good it is :P.
Also another question. Do you run 1920x1080p on the resolution for the desktop ?
Ivegot a couple of Blu-rays but i had trouble making PowerDVD recognize them properly, and i havnt got round to fixing it. Probably just needs an update or something stupid.
I run it at 1920 x 1080 on my Sony TV through HDMI and it takes the audio through too.
I wish i had filmed me taking it apart a few weeks back now :(
I stripped it down to the motherboard and changed the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU and changed one of the small fans inside. I also added a second 320GB hard drive.
Awesome, though in my opinion buying an extra hdd is just waste of money, if i was you i would have gone for a external, and then with the money you save buy new ram memory for the computer, and thanks for the helpfull comments :)
At the time of buying this, it was the best one around for the money with the Blu-ray, wifi, ion graphics, the remote control etc. Not sure about now though, but i would take a guess that this is still one of the best for the money.
hm, possibly set for blu-ray by the end of the year. I would like to think i am anyway :P
Nice vid thanks, I am thinking of gettng this player, I can hear the high pitched whine is this really noticeable whilst watch things? could be a deal breaker for me.
I just took it all apart, put new thermal paste on the CPU cooler, and installed the new fan. I also went into the BIOS and set the fan speed to normal instead of auto, and its much quieter.
Have you had any trouble playing 23.976 fps videos?

Hi
Unfortunately I no longer have this system so I can't check for you!

I see you get a WMC remote included in the box. Does the box have the infra-red receiver built into the case or is it separate?
Cheers

@joelang6126
It's built in, no separate receiver parts.

can you play blurays on the drive? full support of bitstreaming? I have an Acer Revo R3610 running XBMC live, which is great but i want a BD drive!

Not sure about bitstreaming but yes, it can play Blu-ray discs.

It was £350ish without an OS (UK currency)
To be honest, i dont use mine as much as i thought i would, so it may have been a bit of a waste of money :D

Its just for Media Centre as far as i know.
Very useful though, it beats having to have a mouse to scroll through everything.
Clawz114 2 years ago
Has it a MCE installed?
elProdigio 2 years ago
By MCE i presume you mean a Media Centre?
It doesnt come with an Operating system by default, so i just got Windows 7 seperately, and that comes with Windows Media Centre by default.

It runs smoothly on Windows if you use a player capable of using DXVA like Media Player Classic Home Cinema

Its not noticable once theres audio playing, but if theres a quiet part, you can definitely hear it.
Ive just literally today ordered a replacement 30mm fan (this is supposedly the culpret) so hopefully that will fix the issue.

I got my new fan through already.
