Santorum can not claim to be conservative. On Nov 29, 1994 Rick Santorum voted YES with Newt Gingrich to establish The World Trade Organization. True conservatives do no support big government, especially the ultimate big government, world government. This one vote proves Santorum & Gingrich are ultimate big-government liberals.
Oh, wow, just a skewed slam, just like I thot, the attack is on for anyone daring to step up and be a true conservative and actually intervene in this free fall our country is on. But we all see thru this strategy. We see who he really is. Pro family is good, limited government is good, redo the IRS code is good, changing the anti job regulations is good.

@rhersh2011 one of these things is not like the other, which one is different, do you know?? answer: Teddy Roosevelt was a PROGRESSIVE and does not deserve to be included in your list...
Santorum is more electable than the others becuase he is younger the only candidate who actually could run the US this is the executive branch of goverment voters who voted the other party should actually think before they elect someone for president Santorum the best for the next election and the other administration in 2008 should not have existed
@rhersh2011 Santorum is trailing behind in the polls. He can barely win over republicans. A winner needs support from independents, and moderates of both parties. Santorum is for expanding government power to push a far-right Christian agenda. Only far-right Christians want that. His youth works against him, because he has little experience, and he looks like a nerd. Any other candidate would beat him, simply by not being Santorum.
@SoSpeakEasy We know, but not everybody does. Post "Ron Paul!" on videos of Oprah, places where non-political people are, who need to be informed. Put in brief explanations; "limit federal government power and intrusion", "bring our soldiers home", "stop government from spending us into debt".
You don't cite facts, like Santorum championed the welfare reform and partial birth abortion victories, or use actual sound bites rather than your opinions over pictures. The losses to conservatism have roots in these tactis - slash and burn. Clinton More conservative than Bush? Read page 47-48 of Santorum's "It takes a Family" and you find a more Reaganesque view of the Constitution than this author. He sounds like the extreme gay agenda promoters - lots of generalizations and hate.
@jcoresq Santorum strongly agrees with Anti-Miscegenation laws (outlawed by Supreme Court c.1967). These Christian Laws forbade Other Races from marrying White People. Laws enacted by Christians to "Protect the Family".
If Santorm REALLY wants to "Protect the Family", then he needs to understand that Gays getting married constitutes no threat. What does DAMAGE THE FAMILY IS INFIDELITY AND DIVORCE.
He should be calling for Criminalization of Adultery and Divorce, and leave the gays be.
Santorum lost the Pennsylvania Senate race by 18 points, the largest margin of defeat for an incumbent in that state's history! He signed the "Fidelity" pledge BEFORE the clause was removed that speculated that black kids were better off under slavery. I am furious Gary Johnson was immediately removed from the debates when he was 1,000 times the man, intellect, and leader than Santorum is.
@goldenarrow75 I wish Johnson had stayed longer so there would be 2 libertarians, giving the position more attention, and sharing the tough questions. Paul is by himself, so it looks like he's the only one in that position, and therefore crazy. Paul also has to face all the tough questions without Johnson doing some of the work, or fighting the other candidates. Johnson couldn't win, but he could have supported Paul if he stayed.
“On no other foreign policy issue since the Cold War’s end has the truth been so easy to establish on the basis of hard facts but so hard for Americans to see … that Muslim hatred is motivated by U.S. interventionism more than any other factor… Our growing number of Islamist enemies are motivated to attack us because of what the U.S. government does in the Muslim world and not because of how Americans live and think here at home."...Michael Scheuer, cia head of bin laden unit
Southern avenger is a smug fool. Our fiscal problems are entitlement problems. Santorum authored and carried welfare, social security, and medicare reform before it was okay to do so. He only passed welfare reform, but he paid heavily for all three. He authored the partial birth abortion ban and the infants born alive act. this narrator is not reliable.
This is a prime example of a Republican Obama. He's has all the same policys as Obama, pawlenty and the biggest puke Romney. The only chance for a turn around in this spiral into the toilet is voting Ron Paul 2012
How can you call the guy who was the first and only to successfully limit a federal entitlement (Welfare Reform Act of '96) an anti-conservative? Santorum has been generally conservative on most fiscal issues (welfare, tax cuts, balanced budget bills of the '90s), and his socially conservative stances make him all the more attractive to the most prominent part of the modern GOP. He's probably not going to win the nomination, but he's definitely a strong conservative.

You've got it all wrong, I'm on the same side as William Buckley (when it comes to legalizing marijuana). I strongly agree with his progressive stance on the issue.
Ricky Sanitarium.....I loved what he said about the 2005 budget. "Well, we didn't spend as much as we did last year". He lost to Bobby Casey BY 5 POINTS! I don't think he's been back to PA since he lost. Ricky Sanitarium is everything you would want if you want to have an 'inside the beltway' guy. If you want to be that crazy vote for him. One thing, he has declaired why is he still allowed to fill in for Bill Bennett on Fridays?
I think Santorum's record speaks for itself, of course I said the same thing about McCain in 2008 and he won the primary. Wow, lots of wankers on stage next to Dr. Paul.
Why does Jack keep talking about "Reagan conservatism". There was NOTHING conservative about Ronald Reagan. He expanded goernment more than any president before him. The Reagan myth is exactly that...a myth.
Reagan increased government spending and debt while redistributing wealth to the top. Reagan also push the multi nationalist agenda of turning a blind eye to Communism China as long as they support slave labor marketeers and corporatism. Reagan also sold weapons to terrorists and give the profits to drug dealers. Thank Reagan also for wooing religious Right rasists into the GOP tent. Now how that's working for you?
Change the title of the video. This video is being posted around Facebook and to those who aren't actually watching it, the video makes him look good.
You need to stop citing Reagan as "small government." It's obvious that Reagan was the first of the Great Liars who only TALKED about small government while actually expanding it.
the CBS news reports that 70% of Americans support staying in war against the made up terrorists. And that even more support blowing up Pakistan as well. I would just have to say that either we are all doomed if this is how Americans really feel or this is how much propaganda we see in the nightly news....either way we are heading for the end really fast.
"Rick Santorum represents everything that is wrong with the Republican Party."
I kid you not, this is EXACTLY, word-for-word, what I said to my friend about Santorum immediately following the debate in SC. I think his biggest giveaways for being anti-liberty were invoking Bush, as you said, and his spiel about how the Founders wanted us to have a "right to serve their God". HEADS UP RICK: We have that! Imposing laws against gays does not further liberty, it DETRACTS from it. What a charlatan.
i dnt like to cast aspersions on people about bigotry because it is hard to know their motivations and get into their minds, but based on what i have heard him say and his writings, i think its safe to say Santorum is a deeply bigoted person... not to mention an opponent of liberty
Conservatives awakening to the Tea Party/traditional conservativism/libertarianism, etc. are some of the descriptions I hear to describe current politics and the T-party's influence. But I think there is a better way to describe what is going on. The growing influence of communism has nearly overtaken the entire country. Both political parties are totalitarian/communist. There remains a few people, dimly aware of what is going on, that protest this change by waving flags.
Santorum wants "creation" taught in science class. he does not believe in evolution. He's anti gay. Pro war. Supports torture in GITMO. He wants no diplomatic relations with Iran, Syria, or probably any Islamic country for that matter he would much rather invade them. He is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with the republican party.
I'm from PA. We all hate this man and he is a disgrace to our state. We have so many terrible politicians for whatever reason. PA's politicians don't represent our population at all. Just wait until the presidential primaries when he will get only like 1% or 2% of the vote in his homestate.
Santorum, we booted you out of office cuz we didn't like you then, and we still don't like you now. You have no base in PA - you don't have a base anywhere.
This may be the last opportunity for America to reverse this track of destruction we are on – and a chance to rebuild a system of governance that understands its true role, to protect our freedoms and support the right to private property and the accumulation of wealth. Liberties well understood by those who architected American's Constitution and the Bill of Rights. RON PAUL 2012 <3333
Santorum is a looser! How much simpler can I make that for all of you to understand. He has the ear of a Cardinal and a heart of a snake. He'd sell his own mother to Bob Gleason in Johnstown, just to be able to be Governor of PA or a Presidential candidate.
Remember: Santorum is Republican, and in today's world. that is no different than being a Democrat. Both parties are as squallered as the NAZI party was, and both are as Fascist as Fascist can be.
Don't try to equate Goldwater with Reagan. Reagan would have made Goldwater puke! The Tea party would also make Goldwater puke. Goldwater was a real fiscal conservative, but a social liberal (meaning: He did not feel that government should try to control or guide culture and public opinion). Reagan's out of control spending and expansion of government power is exactly what Goldwater fought against. It's wrong to mention them in the same breath as two of a kind.
@MinstrelKrampf happy to see at least one Reagan realist here. reagan had his good points, but too many overlook his disasters, like granting amnesty to 3 million illegals without first putting inplace policy to prevent future mass immigration, and no one remebers how he raised payroll taxes to save social security, then let washington weasels raid the fund for pet projects, we shpuld have over 2 Trillion in social security from those taxes, yet the funds are all gone.
Social Conservatism = Government controls culture & public opinion.
People often try to frame liberal democrats as tax-and-spenders, but the actual reality is that since the 1950's conservative administrations have done more taxing and spending (on the middle class... They often give tax breaks to big-monied interest at the expense of the middle class) than their liberal counterparts. Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, Bush 1&2 all drove up the budget and deficit, and expanded government.
I wish I could see you on MSM, or atleast FOX. I would love to see you outside of FOX, because FOX still does not get "respect" from Libs/Dems like MSNBC or CNN does. You speak with the voice of the Nation, if the Nation could hear with New Ears or see with New Eyes and, then maybe, speak with a New Voice.
People may have to suffer a bit more before they open their minds. Keep up the great work, Jack.
"santorum" (noun) - The sometimes frothy, usually slimy, amalgam of lubricant, stray fecal matter, and ejaculate that leaks out of the receiving partner's anus after a session of anal intercourse.
Santorum and the other two (Cain and Pawlenty) can go have fun in second place, while the two front runners, Paul and Johnson, paint a picture for a new Republican party.
@AnotherUserNamedPaul When did he ever where a mask? I just went all the way to his first video and he showed his face. That sounds awesome, though. Wish he would do that again. Like a Luchador or a "V" mask.
its neo cons like santorum/bush/cheney which in my opinion is 10 times worse than any democrat. As a libertarian, the NEOCON platform is almost point by point the opposite of what true libertarians stand 4 they arent free market, they certainly arent for expanding ne liberties or protecting liberties (except for fake half-ass defenses for gun owners but when one looks at their record neo cons are just as on board" with taking our guns as dems are. We MUST continue to demand a non neocon candidate
Santorum is my former senator, and is one of the few Republicans that disgusted me so much that I actually voted for his Democrat opponent. He is an unapologetic anti-libertarian, to the point of wanting to destroy liberty in the name of government legislated morality.
And this is coming from someone who is pro-life and generally is socially conservative.
@bittergunowner12 To be honest, you are correct, the Casey family has always had that Romanist view of social justice that is destructive on many levels. My beef with Santorum was actually personal, I'm in the dog breeding business and he passed a lot of horrid laws to pander to animal rights freaks.
@clizzaster It has everything to do with it. Your values is the determinate of how you exercise your freedom.
P.S. - If you are picturing a bunch of guys dragging a dead homosexual with a rope from their pickup truck and equating it with social conservatism, you need to watch less MSNBC, it rots the brain. Same goes with associating it with supporting the drug wars or some of the other wacky things that Neo-Cons put forth as their version of social conservative views.
@clizzaster Loving life and God. By consequence, the latter tends to be hated along with other forms of murder, while the other two are treated with varying degrees of tolerance depending on the situation. Drug use is largely a human health issue, while homosexuality only has harmful implications if it is propagated via coercion of the public school system.
Libertarianism isn't limited to hippies who don't like high taxes.
@hellsunicorn In fact you do have freedom without responsibility, you just may not like how it looks, but of course that is freedom for you, everyone doing as they please (within their natural rights), living life as they desire, with or without responsibility, and yet freedom remains either way.
@tfboyle Allow me to take your argument to it's logical conclusion.
1. Person A has a view of natural rights that differs from Person B, and assumes it is his natural right to shoot Person A in the face for his own amusement in order to obtain his personal happiness.
2. Person B tries to counter with the naturalist fallacy, but winds up dead and is thus prevented from freedom for being at room temperature.
Natural Rights fail without God, and this is coming from a former atheist who got smart
@hellsunicorn Cool that you recognize there is no such thing as "natural rights." Shame that you don't recognize that a god would not mean there are natural rights either.
@dlewis1498 Only if you presuppose that said god would be unjust and sadistic rather than a logical being with a specific method to setting things up. I don't believe this, so this issue is a non sequitur.
@hellsunicorn Even a logical being with a method for "setting things up" would not imply intrinsic meaning to existence. If he already existence, then existence itself already existed, and came with no intrinsic "rights" to being there in. And any rights given by a god/creator would just be the non-intrinsic and thus "non-natural" rights for the beings he assigned them to.
@dlewis1498 Revelation doesn't imply intrinsic meaning though, it expresses it an open manner via the concept of "in God's image", and is further disseminated through the moral law derived from the so-called "golden rule". Furthermore, supernatural and non-natural are different concepts, the former supposes independence from the natural yet simultaneous involvement in it, while the latter indicates a full schism from the natural, which I do not believe.
@Drac39 I don't know. In 2008 I voted for Ron Paul and when Paul lost the GOP nomination, I voted for Chuck Baldwin rather than cast a vote for either McCain or Obama. However,2012 is different. Obama and the Dems have already passed so much big government legislation that if we don't take the White House from him soon Obamacare and a host of other changes will become permanent. We don't have the luxury of voting 3rd party this time. I'll vote for almost any republican to get rid of Obama.
He's good on immigration.

@MinstrelKrampf good point, Less Tea party more Libertarian.
sdotson87 9 months ago
@MinstrelKrampf happy to see at least one Reagan realist here. reagan had his good points, but too many overlook his disasters, like granting amnesty to 3 million illegals without first putting inplace policy to prevent future mass immigration, and no one remebers how he raised payroll taxes to save social security, then let washington weasels raid the fund for pet projects, we shpuld have over 2 Trillion in social security from those taxes, yet the funds are all gone.
mrhulot101 9 months ago

Keep up the great work, Jack.

its neo cons like santorum/bush/cheney which in my opinion is 10 times worse than any democrat.

@hellsunicorn
Don't you find that being a social conservative is at odds with being libertarian?
clizzaster 9 months ago
@clizzaster Nope, you don't have freedom without responsibility. It's the law of nature.
hellsunicorn 9 months ago
@hellsunicorn
Sorry man, I'm really not sure what "freedom without responsibility" has to do with social conservatism. Perhaps you can explain it to me.
clizzaster 9 months ago
@clizzaster It has everything to do with it. Your values is the determinate of how you exercise your freedom.
P.S. - If you are picturing a bunch of guys dragging a dead homosexual with a rope from their pickup truck and equating it with social conservatism, you need to watch less MSNBC, it rots the brain. Same goes with associating it with supporting the drug wars or some of the other wacky things that Neo-Cons put forth as their version of social conservative views.
hellsunicorn 9 months ago
@hellsunicorn
If social conservatism isn't hating gays, drugs, and abortion.... what is it?
clizzaster 9 months ago
@clizzaster Loving life and God. By consequence, the latter tends to be hated along with other forms of murder, while the other two are treated with varying degrees of tolerance depending on the situation. Drug use is largely a human health issue, while homosexuality only has harmful implications if it is propagated via coercion of the public school system.
Libertarianism isn't limited to hippies who don't like high taxes.
hellsunicorn 9 months ago
@hellsunicorn In fact you do have freedom without responsibility, you just may not like how it looks, but of course that is freedom for you, everyone doing as they please (within their natural rights), living life as they desire, with or without responsibility, and yet freedom remains either way.
tfboyle 9 months ago
@tfboyle Allow me to take your argument to it's logical conclusion.
1. Person A has a view of natural rights that differs from Person B, and assumes it is his natural right to shoot Person A in the face for his own amusement in order to obtain his personal happiness.
2. Person B tries to counter with the naturalist fallacy, but winds up dead and is thus prevented from freedom for being at room temperature.
Natural Rights fail without God, and this is coming from a former atheist who got smart
hellsunicorn 9 months ago
@hellsunicorn Cool that you recognize there is no such thing as "natural rights." Shame that you don't recognize that a god would not mean there are natural rights either.
dlewis1498 8 months ago
@dlewis1498 Only if you presuppose that said god would be unjust and sadistic rather than a logical being with a specific method to setting things up. I don't believe this, so this issue is a non sequitur.
hellsunicorn 8 months ago
@hellsunicorn Even a logical being with a method for "setting things up" would not imply intrinsic meaning to existence. If he already existence, then existence itself already existed, and came with no intrinsic "rights" to being there in. And any rights given by a god/creator would just be the non-intrinsic and thus "non-natural" rights for the beings he assigned them to.
dlewis1498 8 months ago
@dlewis1498 Revelation doesn't imply intrinsic meaning though, it expresses it an open manner via the concept of "in God's image", and is further disseminated through the moral law derived from the so-called "golden rule". Furthermore, supernatural and non-natural are different concepts, the former supposes independence from the natural yet simultaneous involvement in it, while the latter indicates a full schism from the natural, which I do not believe.

I won't vote for any social conservative
Drac39 9 months ago
@Drac39 I don't know. In 2008 I voted for Ron Paul and when Paul lost the GOP nomination, I voted for Chuck Baldwin rather than cast a vote for either McCain or Obama. However,2012 is different. Obama and the Dems have already passed so much big government legislation that if we don't take the White House from him soon Obamacare and a host of other changes will become permanent. We don't have the luxury of voting 3rd party this time. I'll vote for almost any republican to get rid of Obama.
