Nfs underground series are the best, I really miss that games now, all race games are the same these days.. they all are trying to create a "realistic" race experience..

But alot of people loved and still love that tuning, creating mind blowing cars that look amazing! This isn't how I remember Need for speed.. Need for speed always was a game where you can tune and customize your cars as you wanted it.

@DivinedProphecy lol they're not all the same. NFS:Shift is a joke. the physics are the shittiest of any racing sim. Forza and Gran Turismo got it right. you can tune a lot in Forza and GT5 and it will have realistic effects, unlike in NFS where tuning is counterintuitive and unrealistic. i miss Underground 2 as much as you, but even back then i knew that the game physics were unrealistic. it was fun as an arcade-style racer, but like Shift, it was nowhere near a real sim.

I love this game but please, for NFS Shift 2 fix the AI, its is terrible in every way, seriously, the AI cars act like you are not even there, its impossible to go through a race without them trying to bump into you all the time, spinning themselves in the process. Its like they are following the racing line and if there is something in the way they just ignore it. Shouldn't other drivers react to what is going on around them?

Ok since i've got 5000 responses let me clear this. I made this comment 2 hours after i downloaded the game. I have and insanely short fuse and was just pissed off. And in my comment i didn't mean i'm stuck at the starting line, i meant if you make one mistake, even if it's 3 seconds into the race, might as well restart now. Lastly, i'm playing on a fucking keyboard (try it, i dare you) and i would love to smoke any of you now that i actually played for more than 120 fucking minutes.

@darkzarthroy24 SHIFT is the best thing EA has come out with in terms of racing since all that Midnight Club BS. But Kong is right the semi-simulation is crap. I actually give it a grade 7. There are a lot of good ideas, but too many flaws. It glitches constantly during online play (sometimes causes me to loose races). I'm not the only one that has these complaints. The game is based off two basic principles. 1. Clean racing 2. Dirty racing

Its being able to master the game and acquire the skills to pass opponents without touching them, and also without crashing into every wall in the process. I believe this game was designed and marketed specifically for dumb people, because I rarely get to race against good racers that can actually drive in the game. Just about every jackass plays this game, and they always start flame wars.

I suggest you rent the game to get a true feeling of what its like. I guarantee you will love it at first, but you will learn to hate it with passion. I only got it to hold me over until Gran Turismo 5 is released. (a real racing game) I'm sure it won't disappoint, and I already pre-ordered my collectors edition.
