It's my first bass purchase. It was on Craiglist as "Epiphone 4 string bass". When I saw it in person, it said "Epiphone" on the headstock. He was selling it for his son and didn't know shit. I gave $40 and left, confident I got a decent starter bass. I looked online and could not find any info on it. For my first song, I wanted to learn Iron Maiden Powerslave and I saw this video and there it was, my bass. First one I had seen. And for that, I'm stupid? Mmmm. I feel stupid replying to you.
@Mofran56 I don't know why i feel compelled to reply to your comment, but I do. Knowing it's an Eppi and that's all is like knowing you have a Dodge pickup truck and not knowing it's a Ram 1500. That's all I wanted to know. I found a model called the Embassy Special IV with same p/u's, same bridge & controls, different but close body style and head-stock. The one in this vid (and mine) is discontinued. Maybe a Special III ? Hell, I don't know. If I have offended you with my questions, I'm sorry.
@smacman68 I'm not sure, but from the shape of the body, the bass in this vid looks like a Fender Precision Black, so i don't think its the same you bought. Just an opinion.
No, they're the same. My bass is an Epiphone. From what I've read, this was Eppi's responnse to the Fender Jazz. THey have a very similiar shape and the p/u's are close to each other. I just can't find the actual model name or number. If you stumble accross it, please leave a message here. Thanks for the feedback

The instrumental part is a great way to play it but i dont think it is the album version, if that is what you are trying to play. I bought this special Steve Harris handbbok that you can only buy online.
