  • Sundin was a pussy, Clark and Dougie were all heart!

  • 4:52, Sundin, Gilmour, Clark

three best captains in history at one time!

  • @North49Canuck Sittler was a better Captain than Sundin. Clark, Gilmour and Sittler all had habits of rising to the occasion in clutch times. Sundin never really did that. He was a steady goal scorer but was never the leader than the other 3 were.

  • #93 Dougie Gilmour..best..Leaf...evar!!

  • he had heart!!

  • Doug's new wife is a gold digger. She's only with him for fame and money.

  • @shoppinggirl1980

Interesting. What happened to his previous wife? She was a dish.

  • his daughter is hot... just saying

  • 30 seconds in, greatest coach ever

  • 30 second in, greatest coach ever

  • wow, i'm dumb they were all wearing dougs jersey

  • 1:41 why are there two captains?

  • January 2, 1992 G-Day! greatest day in leaf history

  • The Leafs honor there jersey numbers because otherwise we'd be like the NY Yankees and have 2 numbers in single digits soon to be 1 once Derek Jeter retires available for players to wear. Even Montreal has a lot of numbers retired, it just doesn't make sense in the long run.

  • A Leaf for the ages-if only the current players had a portion of his desire!!!

  • Gilmour WAS amazing... but to say the BEST Leaf? very questionable

  • Two playoff years. best of my life. Thanks boys.

  • fav player ever

  • i was there that night, and i sat behind the net. it's hard to see but my dad was with me and was wearing a freaken bright yellow jacket. lol need to find good footage where it actually catches us cause other than the stubs nobody believes i was there

  • How come the leafs dont retire number? Just "honour"

  • Gilmour... waiting around the net!.... i never forget that goal EVER!!!!!!!!!

    love the maple leafs

  • Love Gilmour, but Wendall Clark was the heart and soul of that Leafs era.

  • @rmstorms NOOO Gilmour was better! both were awesome but Clark couldnt do what Dougie did !!!! GO LEAFS GO!

  • @cptjrkov I didn't say Clark was better, I said he was the heart and soul of the Leafs during that time.

  • Heart has so much to do with things!! Dougie!!! #93 Forever...

  • bring back Paul Morris as PA announcer

  • I was never into sports.... until I saw Doug Gilmour play. He always gave EVERYTHING when he played.

  • Gilmours not the best hands down Leaf. He's amazing, top 10 maybe top 5. He only had like 2 or 3 good seasons. Remember we traded him cause he wasn't worth 3 million a year? How is a player like that the best Leaf ever?

  • Whoaa dougie`s an awesome dancer

  • gilmour didnt win stanley cup

  • Yes he did with Calgary.

  • They don't. Very few players completely drain themselves in every game the way they used to back before the first lockout. Seriously, watch a game from any point before '95 and then watch one now. The style dramatically changed, and the jury is still out on whether or not it's for the better.

  • haha "the kind of hockey they don't play anymore" how sad is it that they have to revel in a time when they made it all the way to the semi-finals...poor Leafs fans. Gilmour was a good one, though.

  • its andy oak hockey knowledge legend

  • God that announcer for the ACC "tries" to sound cool, but it actually annoying... the nest Maple Leafs announcer was the one during the 90's at Maple Leaf Gardens

  • hot daughter

  • pedophile

  • he didnt want them to do this dumbass ,so it was lowkey for his sake

  • i was just at the acc and i can tell you that its only numbers 4 and 5 that are retired, or 5 and 6, and of course #99s retired throughout the way it should be.

  • What a terrible ceremony.

  • aaaah the vegas pimp crew from white trashville

14th all-time and the guy gets jersey retired !!!! wow

  • Dummy - First off all, he had his number HONOURED...not retired.

Second of all, he had 452 points in 392 regular season games . If he was with the Leafs for a longer time, there is no doubt that he would be sitting top 5 in all-time points.

Third of all, he had 76 points in 52 playoff games played.

Lastly, if this is a video about white "trashville", why did you take the time to search for it and watch it?

  • hahahaha..... nice, dude!

  • @leafer24 you spelled HONORED wrong ya dummy lol

  • @GivePeaceAChance2009 Please tell me you're joking...lol.

  • @leafer24 dougie!!

  • def one of the memorable player he deserved this and earned it, another great player along side him was wendle clark my personal hero

  • great nic though---"the killer" yyyyaaaaaaaaaa

  • doug gilmore was a true hockeyplayer. one of the all time greats!!

  • Was this the game where Pittsburgh fired their coach afterwards?

  • hate to be the one to point this out, but the number isn't retired, only honoured. Tornoto generally doesn't retire numbers. the only numbers that have been retired are players who died while still members of the team: Ace Bailey (6) and Bill Barilko (5)

  • How much better are those jerseys, eh?

  • i love this man lol. he is the reason i wear #93, anyone know if him and his brother still have their shop in kingston?

  • I hate the voice of that new Maple Leafs announcer at the ACC, the guy they had at Maple Leaf Gardens was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better. Its as though he tries to hard to be unique...

    Maple Leaf Gardens FTW!

  • Doug Gilmour will always be my favourite team captain beside Mats

  • did the leafs win this game?

  • Yeah it was i think 5-4

  • I had the honour to play with him this weekend and he is such a classy, nice guy. I was star struck, hope to see you again sometime and hope to see you coach in the NHL one day.

    Thank you for the memories...

  • Dave Keon great player also but different era when there was only 6 teams in NHL

  • best Leaf to ever wear the maple leaf jersey hands down, no comparisons

  • How about Dave Keon? at least he won the cup in the end.

  • @louch5 which prolly explains why they never won a cup in a million years lol

  • @louch5

For 2 years, that statement is valid. However, I don't think Gilmour was here long enough to make that statement. Gotta go with Keon, Sittler or Sundin over Dougie, as much as I like Dougie.

  • @louch5 Damn right, no player had the intensity and impact on the ice like Gilmour. No player affected and resurrected the Leaf more than Gilmour. If they didn't have that penalty in game 6 they would have beat LA in 93 and won the cup because they had Montreals number.

  • flying wild, I had heard he was sleeping with one of the other players wives...

  • Gotta love Ron MacLean quoting Obi Wan Kenobi.

  • at 3 minutes wat is that song they play?

  • the streets have no name - U2

  • thx for uploading!

  • The 92-93 Leafs are the team we need our current Leafs to model themselves after. Put Dougie alongside Ron Wilson and we would see a better team. Those were the days! Gilmour,Clark,Potvin,! Honor that lineup before every game to energize our Leafs!

  • GILMOUR RULES!!!!

    GO LEAFS GO!!!!

  • Dougies "new" wife looks pretty good. He gets a new 21 year old every 10 years hahaha

  • Gilmour rocks!!
