  • very nice made and funny how you almost did everything like in te movie.

  • what the fuck is this?

  • This is actually pretty good.

  • @GHAI007 This Proves how unobservant you are. When you go to argue with someone, you study them. On my channel, it clearly states my age, so how can I be a drop out if I'm still in school? You have failed. btw, whats a 24 year old person with a job doing watching playmobil stopmotion vids? lol

  • That's some funny stuff right there

  • AJWWAUWAUJWAUWAUWAUWAUWAJWA (y) awsome xD

  • AJWWAUWAUJWAUWAUWAUWAUWAJWA (y)

  • this SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF. You dimwit gotta stop posting these bullshit on youtube. All those fucking madden videos and shit like that. Nobody cares.

  • @petion2010 ....What on earth are you talking about? I don't post madden vids, obviously someone cares because i have over 100 subscribers, and why don't you post some vids before you start crying like a baby? lol

  • @FrieLegos i think its was pretty well done mate :D good work

  • I don't think, there are so many dislikes because ppl think this is too bad. i think, ppl expect the original scene from the movie (as i did) and are disappointed that it's not. Maybe you should add "Playmobil version" to the title. The title like it is now i missleading.

  • @schnubbel76 funny, generally people look at the thumbnail before clicking on a vid. the title stays the same. sorry.

  • @FrieLegos of course, it's ur vid, u can name it what u want. i just spread my theory because of alexgomez83` comment, who wondered about the dislikes.

  • @schnubbel76 i appreciate your comments. lol so here is the big question, did you dislike the vid because of the title?

  • @FrieLegos no i did not, because the video is good at all for a stop motion playmobil version. but i was looking for the real moviescene when i came here. ^^ all i wanted to say is that i could imagine, that not everyone has the ability to watch and rate this video in neutral mood, when title promises something else. And yes, i look at the thumbnail, but it makes just 20% of my decision if i watch a vid or not. 80 % comes from the title. cause thumbnails are often misleading. lol

  • @schnubbel76 well, this is what i'm going to do. the title stays the same, i dont think it is misleading because it is still the same scene of the movie, just done differently. if you dont agree, thats your privilege. thank you for your concern/advice.

  • Great job! especially with the part with the barbarian warchief. You should do some more of these movies.

  • @Katangszemu suggestions?

  • ROMA VICTA!!!!!

  • so many dislikes....i wonder if any of these idiots who disliked this video have actually tried to create something as elaborate and extensive as what you have created....awesome job.

  • What a curve ball! I love it when someone uses imagination to suprise the audience. Rofl ! Maybe, you should be a General.

  • That was truly amazing!!!!!! :D I love you :')

  • Fucken' hilarious!!!

  • this is great

  • good work.. gongratulation for your imagination.

  • Why so many dislikes? :( Sure it isn't hollywood-standard, but I think one should appreciate the offert put into this and the level of detail! :)

I think with a better camera (and macro for really close shots) and more frames, you could really impress people.

  • @lulzwarrior i've been thinking about redoing this, but it would just be to much work.

  • poor dude, yu already given 25 dislike =D

  • @ultimatesol i dont blame them. lol

  • THE ACTION, THE DRAMA, THE SUSPENSE! Its just so overwhelming!

  • Clearly the Dovahkiin was absent at this battle. Otherwise the Roman's would have been cruuuuuuuuuuuushed.

    What up Skyrim?!

  • @tommyions

    FUS RO DAH!!!!!!!

  • the animation is rough but i appreciate the attention to detail, such as the smoke and lights in the background. also i think the lincoln log trees are hysterical.

  • lmao

  • you got some major talent

  • I will raise the score to 19/16...can anybody do better?

  • Now the score is 18/16...:-)

  • This video is very good. Thumbs Up. Now the score is 17/16 ...:-)

  • Wow this video is one the high lites of your work. Thumbs up friend

  • hay everyone i have a video of the actual battle scene

  • 13,124 views..not bad

  • Back again to revisit this cool video. I really like the fire and smoke effects with your lighting. Either you got lucky and pulled that off very well or you are advanced in that special effect by making it believable.

  • @JERRYR708 i wouldnt say it was luck, i call it experience.

  • @FrieLegos What you are saying is that experience falls somewhere between luck and advanced?

  • @JERRYR708 no. i'm saying experience comes from trying something. i knew this would look good cuz i tried it before.

  • @FrieLegos You experienced the effects before and now you are advancing. LOL

  • fag

  • @Oshtrica88 i think your comment belongs on your 1lame vid, retard...

  • @FrieLegos ok i overdid it with the "fag" comment, no harm ment.

  • @Oshtrica88 lol no harm done. no worries man.

  • @FrieLegos ok i overdid it with the "fag" comment, no harm ment.

  • @FrieLegos ok i overdid it with the "fag" comment, no harm ment.

  • wow... the crappiest thing i've ever seen! I think I'll like it -.-

  • @macmm7 ya know something? your absolutely right! lol maybe i should do a remake of this.

  • How many were handling the playmobiles?

  • @vasilisv like moving them after each shot? just me. did this movie alone.

  • AWESOME! TRUE TO FILM AND SOUND. GREAT JOB!

  • This . Is. Amazing

  • dios santo es el mejor video que he visto en youtube!!

  • Epic ending

  • Hahahahaaa. Pretty good! :)

  • hahaha it's so funny!!!

  • is that good or bad? :)

  • good! =)

  • Very good!

I loved the movie, and this is very good animation too, I love the barbarien cheif.

     5/5 stars!!!

  • thanks :)

  • coo

  • I would imagine that it took a lot of effort to make this film. You should get a playmobile academy award. It is rather artistic.

  • wow really? thanks!!! :D

  • nice usage of my cardboard adaptation of your poker chip shield idea. love the battle and the customs but i dun unnastan how barbarians are always the bad guys. really the romans are the bad ones. always trying to conquer everybody and steal their lands and crap.

  • thanks. idk y barbarians are portrayed that way. this movie is about rome however.

  • i know it is but it seems most movies are about rome. and they are inaccurate to the roman fighting style and tactics. silly movie makers coping mel gibson's all over the place lol.

  • lol

  • Actually the movie was very good historically accurate wise. The clothes armor and even the fighting style are all what the Romans used.

If you want more info on the 'evil barbarian' idea, I suggest looking up:

    The End of the World.avi

Look that up, with those exact words, and it will be the first thing that pops up... so long as you type it on Google videos.

    I hope this helps.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask me. I am (and I say this proudly) a history geek.

  • i know that the armor and clothes are accurate; i didn't mean they did a braveheart level failure but as a history geek as well i have to say their fighitng style is a bit flawed. the romans didn't have catapaults in the woods, they would have only had them had they been near an allied settlement, sieging, or in a field battle. and basically it's all because the "civilized" people who weren't anybetter couldn't understand the barbarians.

  • That's something I haden't known. But though I know they couldn't accuratly hit anything in the woods with a catapult, perhaps the romans would have used it in real life just to scare them out of the woods. It would be an effective tactic, especially if they had somewhere to channel the barbariens.

  • I have found 2 other things wrong,

The infantry would not have broken formation that easily, and would not have gone into the woods (wich in real life would have attributed to the quick break in formation)

Also the cavalry, Since cavalry was not one of the romans strong points, cavalry was limited to Auxilary units and generals, or other high ranking officers. However, all the cavalry looked like they were romans.

Was the Braveheart movie that bad? I haven't seen it...

  • yes the braveheart movie is awful. it shows gibson wielding a claymore one handed some scenes, and the english are wearing this horrid scale mail outfit. english never used scale during the feudal and middle ages. ever. if the ever even had scale, it would have been from a viking who traded with more eastern and byzantine influences or it was lamellar. point being the braveheart movie blows.

  • Wow, that does suck!

    What are the Scotish wearing?

I hope there were no florentine sword and or ax weilders running around.

The reason that style is calld "florntine" IS BECAUSE IT WAS USED IN FLORENCE ITALY!!!

Whenever I see a person totally powning a group of people using florentine, it pisses me off. Florentine was used in florence. Period.

  • quite true. and responding to your other comment as well, yes the romans would not have broken formation and charged the woods. they would have waited in battle lines to attack the now lured germanic horde. they failed at showing true german equip for the time though. this is past the nomad stage and germans have become professional warriors now. they would have higher % of mail and weaponry would be different. and the cavalry was insane. roman officer cavalry charging a horde of enemys?

  • roman equites MAYBE would have charged; but we most note that roman cavalry is not a shock cavalry. they weren't renowned for breaking enemy formations they were usually a support role. Also, roman commanders wouldn't usually fight in the ranks or charge headlong into battle unless against an opposing commander. thats why roman command and control had so many sub-leaders, such as centurions and other officers. This shows the use of the roman messenger or runner on the battlefield.

  • Yes, those cavalry would more likely have been used after the battle to pick off the fleeing Gauls....

Sorry if i've said this before, I cant find my other comments..... -_-

  • that was epic :D 5/5

  • thanks :)

  • Wow! Nice special effects with the smoke and lighting. Especially the orange lighting in the fire smoke. The customs were great, like the furs and shields. I see some big improvements since your previous videos. Keep up the good work.

    5/5

  • thanks :)

  • Very well done! 5/5 The customs are great! Unfortunately there are a few sound problems... but the rest is fantastic! :)

  • yeah idk how, but the sound got thrown off like 1/2 a second. thanks 4 the comment :)

  • DRAT!!! i think the sound got messed up during the upload!!!!!!! ugh
