I can't imagine this building will stand long. Oil's drying up, the rest of the world is moving on, and the arabs don't have anything else to offer. It'll be gratifying to see these monuments of arrogance and arabian self promotion fall.

the reason dubai is going through all of this development is to attract tourists :) it makes millions from tourism every year and when the oil is gone and this spectacular city is finnished then they will be rolling in cash again :)
