My grandmother and I used to watch her favorite shows at her place beginning when I was 5 years old. One of them was the Golden Girls, and I still watch reruns today. I thought it was always one of the funniest, best-acted shows on television at the time, and still do. They were all great, and I can't believe how quickly in a row three of them passed on. Wished all of them could have, but I hope Betty lives on forever.

I met rue in west holly wood a few years back, such a wonderful and funny lady. She signed her book for me which was very exciting, but hugging her was the best part. RIP Rue

It was a great shock to me when Rue passed and very sad, but the silver lining to all of the sorrow is that all of the 'girls' will live on forever as The Golden Girls show goes on in syndication and is on DVD. I loved TGG as a child and I love it more as an adult. What special, wonderful women they were and what talented writers and guest stars the show had over the course of its amazing run!
