I have the Gamecube version of Mario Power Tennis. It's much better than the Wii version. However, I have ripped the samples from Mario Tennis 64 via N64 Sound Tool.

@pandamatak As far as skill between Mario Tennis 64/Mario Power Tennis and Mario Kart: Double Dash, they both rely on skill the most when all Items, Gimmicks and Powers are turned off. Which one requires more skill in that case, really depends on the player, and the opponents more than anything else. It is subject to the current circumstances in-game, and isn't really a this or that, yes or no, or left or right kind of answer.

@pandamatak Most people consider the Mario Kart series to reside outside the "Mario Sports" series, as it gets at least one sequel each generation, whereas the "Mario Sports" games get more games that spawn off of them rather than sequels, with one direct sequel for the next system. If each other sport got sequels like Mario Kart does, we would have a new Mario Golf or Mario Tennis for Wii.

@pandamatak I would strongly agree that the Mario Tennis games, besides the Game Boy Advance one are the best of the "Mario Sports" Series. The official confirmation that Nintendo is making a Mario Tennis game for the Nintendo 3DS that uses Mario Tennis 64 and Mario Power Tennis for it's basis, seems to support that opinion also.

Oh, gosh, this is one of the most nostalgic songs I've ever heard in my life. When I got my Gamecube when I was a baby, this was the game I played most often. I think the nostalgia here might even top DoubleDash, another game I played a lot. Unfortunately, along with the GameCube, this game I had was destroyed in a flood of our basement. I really hope to play it again soon!

Nintendo needs to make a true sequal to Mario Power Tennis.A remake with Terrible Wii Motion controll doesen't cut it.The Mario Tennis series needs a new game already.

its only like 15 bucks used and i mean its a great game for gamecube so just go buy the gamecube version and also the only difference is a couple of dramatic camera angles on the wii version which is cool and all but why not buy the gamecube one? o and a wii version is in the works because they announced it when came out as NEW MARIO TENNIS GAME FOR WII reaaaaalll origninal title guys...lol

The Mario Tennis series is my favourite Nintendo Franshise!

It's addictive, fun and Nintendo's best in 4 player action.

Just my opinion though but Mario tennis has always been good in it's multiplayer mode and I'd be surprised to see people's opnions.

Too bad the GC version can't go online though.

I have to agree, the graphics were amazingly good in this game compare to other Mario sports for GC., but the fact that they remade it for the Wii with just the controls adjusted it does make sense after all of the graphics being good.

Mario Power Tennis should have had more from Mario Tennis 64, had all charecters from MT64 except maybee DK JR., Had some courts from the 64 except clone courts, had the MT64 theme as alternet title screen music, and had game boy compatibility
