Continued... There's a lot of prejudice against bisexuals from both straights and gays- in some ways, it's harder to come out as bi than gay. Bi girls tend to be considered sluts, into threesomes, and boys tend to be judged as still half in denial/in the closet. There was a line in Glee lately where Kurt suggested that he thought as much. It could just be easier for Van to keep his mouth shut.

Well, in the movie "Brokeback Mountain," the actors were all straight in real life. They played their characters well and made an impact to the world. In this interview, I think Van and Jake are still "in-character" to give credibility to Luke and Noah in ATWT. But there are a few gestures that made me think of the straight/gay/bi riddle. O_o Incidentally, Van also had an "itch" at the onset of another interview. Could be mannerism? Or something else?

I just finish the whole serial and i do felt very nice with van and jake's story... i think was an amazing idea for people looking for strength and courage to find the answer in their lives... i hope some day i get the chance meet those guys.

Because the world of the soap opera is so fast paced they often only do one or two takes per scene, Jake's nickname "One Take Jake" implies that "had every take completely memorized" and when he was involved in a take he would get it right the first time (everytime). Which is a good thing :)

Just because an actor has a gay storyline doesn't mean they are gay in real life. There are lots of gay actors who play straight characters too. It's their job. In this day and age it shouldn't matter what their sexuality is. Gay, straight or bi as long as they're happy it doesn't matter. They are both good actors and they're enttled to keep their private life private just like everyone else.

Okay...i don't necessarily care but i understand people's natural curiosity. Van is one sexy mofo and because of his great acting skizlls and his mannerisms and his gentle soul it seems fit for some for him to only be with guys but he very well may be making some girl very happy! Ok if I had been on that set while they were doing the photo shoot I would have melted from the heat coming off those two.
