there is a big difference in the way they play and the sound quality between gibson and epiphone...yes gibson costs a good bit more but its well worth it in my mind

@joshuafrye182 They're alright, but I've owned a Gibson for 3 years. Theres no comparison. Epiphones are good if you don't mind working your fingers pretty damn hard for your tone, which can be a pain in the ass. The Gibson just seems to sound better by default. No offense to anyone with an Epi, I'm actually wanting an Epi EDS-1275. I'm just sayin.. better woods and wiring/construction makes a difference. Also, where its made has an impact. USA guitars seem to play better than foreign made.

The Blues Junior only has a single channel anyway - so it's a bit inflexible for changing sounds mid songs - I have a Boss gt-10 now so distortion is now available!

i can be wrong, but it seems to me that playing with fingers you are using only your index and thmub fingers. You should use your thumb for bass strings, and your index middle and ring fingers for the rest of the strings. I did it the same way before, sounds the same, but its more fun, believe me. otherwise its ok.

you coulda had the neck volume down, and the bridge all the way up. id be clean on the neck for rythym and you'd drive the amp more for the solo when you switched to the bridge.
