i never said i hated DF. i said now that i know more about metal i realize they aren't really a part of the REAL power metal scene and that they blow at pretending to be. now if you were to classify them as "insane-fast-shredding-video-g­ame-sounding-songs-that-are-10­-minutes-long-and-all-sound-th­e-same" metal, then i'd say they are #1 in their class. but when classified as power metal, there's a hundred bands i can think of that shit on this band.

DragonForce are an excellent definition of power metal. They present it really well. Technical, fast, high vocals, and lots of keyboard. They are definitely part of he real power metal scene, you can't get much more power metal than them.

Their middle two albums sound the most alike, comparing song to song and album to album. But really, the more you know a band and hear the songs, the less they sound alike. They sound way less similar in Ultra Beatdown.
