  • Selena Gomez ruined this classic.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 Don't follow her but I just listened to it. The annoying thing to me about covers is when it's a straight-up rendition w/ no interesting changes & the music/instruments sound cheesy plus the vocals are not interesting enough to make it sound different. E.g. Guns N Roses doing the Beatles' "Live and Let Die." His vocals are so different. Or adding an interesting guitar solo or interlude. Hers isn't anything special, so why not stick with the original?

  • @music4life3777 Thanks for sharing your comment with me. I can always agree with you 100%.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 I meant that Guns' cover of Live and Let Die is a GOOD example b/c Axl's vocals are so different, just to clarify. A scratchy gravelly voice vs. Paul McCartney's. Nirvana covered Terry Jack's 1974 "Seasons In The Sun", which seemed like such a weird poppy choice, but Kurt Cobain had liked that as a kid (so did I) & he makes it sound even more depressing & the music's different enough. watch?v=kO4BF67pvsc

  • @music4life3777 I'm glad I can always identify with you and anyone else who knows what real music is.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 Yeah, having similar tastes in music is a good way to connect to people and confirm one's opinions on it. It's either that or pizza...or something. (;

  • @music4life3777 Donny and his sister Marie stated that the music from a long time ago sounds a lot more better than what's out now. One of them even stated that whenever they hear Justin Bieber or any other crappy artist that's out now,they either turn to another station or shut the radio off. After when that was told to me,I told others about it. I even told them that music in both 70's and 80's B movies sound better than what's out now.

  • love this song

  • @MerlinsLOVE It's kind of goofy in retrospect, but it was popular and a snappy tune at that time & at 8 yrs-old I liked it. In fact, there were a lot of good snappy tunes in the 70s that make today's pop music sound so generically the same. Their only big hit in the US, and apparently nailed it. Thx.

  • @music4life3777 absolutely right, i was born in '90s but i have no boundaries in music, and this song is one of the coolest ! i don't really like today's music like LMFAO kinda things, music should be original (for me) btw thanks to share :)
