  • Great!!

  • drink beer for breakfast, pass any piss test

  • this is one of my all time fave cd's but damn this mix is awful!!

the album is much better as it allows the groove to shine through

  • This album is killer!

  • les is telling ler (or whoever that is next to him) how big the fish he caught was at 3:19

    brains hair is funny

  • They were ahead of their time. Most people weren't ready for them

  • I used to love this song.

  • I´ve owned Stinky Grooves since the early 90´s - first as LP listened to it on my Walkman and now I got it on CD and listen to it on my ipod almost every day. I love the Limbomaniacs and I would love a reunion. They are part of my life and will ever be.

  • I had forgotten all about this one. All I could remember is "mouth full of food".

Thanks, Google!!! RHCP wishes they were this funky. No wonder Primus snagged the drummer...

  • Saw these guys as the opening act for ??? at the (formerly known as) The Palace in Hollywood, somewhere around 1991 or so. So blown away I bought their album. Never heard from them again, but that entire album is burned into my head. I think it's the first time I ever heard William Burrough's voice ("Pavlov's Frothing Dog").

  • Could someone tell me if this Fuckin' band still do something ? Anything?? coz shit!! THAT is groooove!!!

  • CLAYPOOL @ 2:53

  • @bigbore660

That looks like it might be Ler standing next to him.

  • @voidofbeeswax Claypool: Hey Ler, we are in a rap video.

Ler: Yea why are we here?

Claypool: Lets just stand in the back and pretend we're not here.

    Ler: Cool.

  • @bigbore660 Nice spot!!

  • i wouldnt be suprized if Mike Patton was in this video

  • slippery when it's wet the commodores.

  • I didn't know they were still touring I

saw these guys with Primus in Palo Alto in 1988 I went and bought there album the next day.

  • Great show last night at Slims in SF. I hope these guys do some more gigs, cuz their set set last night was way too short..

  • Saw this song live last night! Limbo fucking killed. Wished their set was longer.

Fucking M.I.R.V. performed, not even on the bill, secret performance it was crazy!

  • Brain on drums(later with MCM and Primus), Mark Haggard on guitat(later formed M.I.R.V.)(who at one time had Brian Kehoe who formed The Kehoe Nation) this FAR from 90s cheese. This part of a large circle of outstanding musical artists that also included bands like Mofessionals, Fungo Mungo, Psycophunkapus, and Mr.Bungle. Just cause someone can't see the talent before them doesn't mean that they should piss on it.

  • 90s cheese ? Your an idiot. Saw these guys back in the day Definatly in my top ten best shows and ive seen hundreds. good music then good music now.

  • New album - FART - coming out Jan 1 2010 according to the MySpace blurb, check out the new tune Shock To The System streaming there.

  • Yeah seeing Limbomaniacs on January 2nd!

  • A taste of absolute 90's cheese!

  • HA! Those boobs are fake!

  • Jan 2 2010 At Slim's 333 11th Street San Francisco, CA Presents A Benefit For City Of Hope Cancer Hospital with The Return Of Psychefunkapus, Fungo Mungo, Limbomaniacs Plus SPECIAL GUESTS Showtime: 9:00 PM (Doors: 8:00 PM) All Ages 6 and Over TICKETS ON SALE SUN. OCTOBER 11

  • Funny how many people comment on FNM and the chili peppers, but nobody that actually understands the music or who these bands are.

Did any of you ever think that the singer of FNM is exremely respected in many circles of music while anthony kedis has virtually disappeared from "the scene"

    Ignorance is bliss children

  • Wow, that's Scott Canizales (and Petey Pig), from Scott's Comics & Cards.

Ah, the good ol' 23rd St days...

  • Mike Patton or Chuck Mosely? Because Mike Patton is unbelievably better than Kiedis! No comparison!

  • I have to admit when these guys first hit in 1990 I wrote them off as a poor man's Chili Peppers...then a few years later (for some reason) I listened to the LP again and really dug it. I think for most people they looked and sounded a bit too much like the Peppers which I kinda why they never went anywhere.

But these guys are skads better than Faith No More (shudder) Now there's a band that really wanted to be the Chili Peppers, especially the lead singer.

  • It's funny you should say that, since they both came out of the same scene in California and Faith No More was around first. That sound was very popular in L.A. around that time. Infectious Grooves and to a lesser extent Suicidal Tendencies are an example of that. And let's not forget Primus.

Mike Patton is eons a more versatile (and in tune) vocalist who still continues to push boundaries to this day. Chili Peppers haven't made anything worth shit since One Hot Minute.

  • Right, that's why FNM broke up in 1997 and haven't done anything since then (wait, they did just reform without the lead guitarist and by all account suck even more now then they did when they broke up...if that's even possible). In contrast, the Peppers have been releasing albums, selling out shows and oh yeah making music that doesn't suck! Go figure.

And Mike Patton, still wants to be Tony Kiedas, but will never be, especially with that crappy band. But hey, no accounting for taste right?

  • HAHAHA

I really like your parameters to compare bands.

I love the 2 bands, but RHCP since Blood Sugar Sex Magik (well, maybe one hot minute) is really a shadow of what the band was.

FNM is absolutely awesome. Patton was invited by Bjork for an album that had only voices, that should show you something about singing qualities

  • "Its late and I'm tired so give me some coffee so I can get wired"They were the voice of the coffee generation

  • next beatles

  • It weird seeing Mirv with hair.

  • cool funky track, the vid is totally 90s style... burp /// songs like MANIAC, PORNO & TOILET used to groove my socks even more :)

  • Saw these homies so many times.....fun shows!

Even tried out for them as a singer....when they wanted to move in a different direction.

Didnt get it though cause Im a guitar player not a very good singer. Brain was playin wit em....now of Primus.

  • Great song! There's an R-rated version of this video where the girls take their tops off. It's from their only album "Stinky Grooves".

  • Pretty damn good band. Funk Metal is my favorite genre and it was big just in the right time! 1988-1992 was the best years in everything and especially music!

  • hail midas - laswell!!!!!

  • excellent video!! Song from stinky grooves.

  • Straight from the mean streets of the bay area..

  • BUCK!

  • R.I.P. limbomaniacs! mirv rules!

  • Cool to see Limbomaniacs on here. I wish there was a video for Maniac!

  • Damn this is too good ...Honestly I just love this video !

  • Excellent bay area funk band. The Mo'fessionals were pretty good too. Fungo Mungo had the best live performances.

  • BUCKETHEAD!!!

  • nice to see this. I'm the proud owner of Stinky Grooves. Anybody got any idea what the band members did later on?

  • The drummer Brain has played Praxis, Primus, Tom Waits, Buckethead and Guns and Roses. Recently he put a a drum video.

  • thx, I just noticed it on the record sleeve of Praxis that he plays on the album. Wasn't awaire of Primus and Guns&Roses though

  • Mark Haggard formed M.I.R.V (you can find videos for them too)

Tony Chaba played bass with Buckethead

  • Used to have a copy myself. Brilliant stuff, The toilet's blocked, porno, shake it, Butt funkin', freestyle, Pavlov's frothin' dogs. Sheer comic genius and some real musical talent too.

  • This is THE GREATEST song of the ERA - flawless

  • I saw them in Switzerland with Primus...'was a fukin' good band...I always get the Limbomaniacs t-shirt

  • did i just see maximum fucking bob or i am hallucinating? i must be tired from being at the slaughterhouse all night.

  • I got to see these guys play many times. The last time was at One Step Beyond with Tower Of Power opening for them. There were many great and original bands playing the clubs in the Bay Area back then. Along with the Limbomaniacs there was Primus, Fungo Mungo, Psychefunkapus, and the Bluchunks. It's too bad only Primus became big nationally. The rest of the country missed out on some great music.

  • This is one of the best bands from the bay area, long live funk rock!!!I never saw them live,so any clips live would be a treat!!!

  • For the comment below "I have the 90's", this video isn't anything like the band live. They probably got talked into this by some record company wimp that wanted it to look like MC Hammer!

  • I also loved Limbomaniacs. Early '90s in San Francisco. Notice Buckethead and Les Claypool in that video. Really an exciting time in SF!

  • Hahahahaha, I loved that album.

Pornotime was the best friggin' song. This brings me back. Awesome!

  • very rare video!!!!

great limbomaniacs, cult crossover funk band.

  • what ever happened to these guys? I lost my STINKY GROOVES cd.

  • ive been lookin for stinky grooves for years! cant find it!

  • YEAH MATE!!! I love the limbos!
