To me, the galling thing is that the BBC could afford to courier the game out and so could surely have couriered out a finger drive to put the video on (yes, a second courier). Hey, they could have given Peter an email to send it to. Posting the video was unnecessary. I imagine the reporter told himself that this was a thrill for Peter and his friends, as opposed to wasting their time. Maybe complaining to BBC would be in order.

Nothing to do with this video - did you see the Panorama program on YouTube being used to post 'happy slapping' videos? I was shocked and dissapointed by Google's response. How about starting up a YouTube community watch campaign to have these odious videos 'flagged as inappropriate' and driven off this site. I agree with freedom of speech, but these videos can only perpetuate an evil. Good men must stand up.

Suggestion: When the media call, ask them to tell you in advance what they want to talk about, before they come for the interview. That way you can be somewhat prepared. At minimum, they should be able to tell you, generally, what they want to discuss. If it is software that you have not seen, you could tell them to ship it to you a few days in advance, so that you have time to evaluate it. This is the type of courtesy that any reputable media should offer you.

One of the good thing with the internet and sites like youtube is that it could connect a lot of old and alone elderly people.

My swedish grandma as I said who became 98 had no trouble watching the tv everyday.

However I think it would have been better if her last 5 years would have been to talk with people when she was alone instead of just watching the Tele.

Ofc it was her life not mine,and when your above 95 you deserve to decie how you wanna live ;)

It just didn't go according to plan. If they had been more 'organised' if would only have been a few minutes out of the day...which would have been fine. Considering it was the BBC you would think they would have known EXACTLY how to get the best quality recording in the first place! As Peter explained in this video, he is quite capable of saying NO if he really wanted to.
