How do find out the measurements of the comic page when you do thumbnails, I know its 10 by 15 but I dont know what it is when you shrink it down.

@Dalen77 the thumbails can be on 8x11 paper. but the shrinked size of the 10x15 paper is all the way to 6x10 for the printed copy. hope this helps.

@Diego1999ist  This helps, but if your making your own comic and you might want to publish it, should you do it on 10/15, I dont own a scanner that big, but maybe the pages could be scanned in at Kinkos.

you i did like 4 worm comics. Friends think they are funny and cool. I was 12 then. Dont do them now. Do other like old time comics. There was much blood in there but you know didint even do colour. I still love to look at them :)

making comics is more than just slaping random figures and objects into panels, you have to take into consideration design, composition, layout, story telling and panel design, this guy does an awesome job at it. making a good comic takes a whole to lern and it starts with a lot of life drawing and composition

Why does everyone talk about how they are going to make their own graphic novel? Assuming you can draw like someone that has dedicated their life to learning to draw and probably has spent years at an art school, what makes you think you can write like someone who gets their books published.

Think that depends on where you're getting your comic published. For example, the US has laws against certain ages working (think you have to be somewhere between 14 to 16 and older to work) and certain companies may not allow anyone below a certain age to be published by them. You can always try self-publishing comics and selling them online or at conventions too.

Thanks, dude! All I've been needing is to see someone actually draw something. And what do you mean, "you're doing it all wrong", neil1c2000? There's no absolute way to doing art, and comic art especially. That's how STYLES get invented. There are a lot of people who did things "wrong" but later became a "standard" themselves--Vincent van Gogh was doing things "wrong" and now we don't even remeber his critics but we know him! And that's one of my favorite jazz songs, by the way!

Hey, it`s great and all but, your doing it wrong. You firstly draw your page on a big piece of paper. (As big as you want) Then, after you ink, clour and draw, you take it to a computer and shrink it down(minimize) Because if you ever read the book called "Bone" do you think he drew it all that good in one tiny box?

No such thing as doing it "wrong".The process you describe is true of the mainstream comics process. But mass production means a consistent process. Maus by art spegielman was drawn on cheap 8.5x11 copy paper. Nothing substandard or wrong with that piece of work. How many comics can claim a Pulitzer Prize?
