Gameplay is the same, however it feels different.

It's not a hard concept to grasp. Basically, you go from one end to another.

So Mario World's gameplay is the same as DKC, but feels different.

I've beaten the game, like 10 times before doing the vid bud. I still hate it.

I don't know why I get this comment is much "beat the game first" I kinda do beat my games and a bad game is a bad game no matter what. I've yet to play a game where I've hated it until the end when all of a sudden as if by magic I then liked the game.

It doesn't work like that at all I'm afraid.

At best it would mean I'd hate 90% of the game and like the last 10%.

IMO, DKC2 is an improvement over DKC1 in every possible way; especially the boss fights. The first one had boss fights that were too easy and simple. this game's boss fights are awesome.

The first one is the fave of alot of people for nostalgias sake and it being the first one ever and the shock it produced at first but the second one just perfected the gameplay and knocked it out of the ballpark as they say.

DKC 2 has the best music. However if you want catchy "natural" music than look at DKC1. In my opinion the bosses are better on this game. They don't make you think except maybe King Zing Sting. The bosses in DKC1 were meh. Only because they were all the same thing and you faced the same boss more than once with slight changes. All you really did was jump on the bosses in DKC1 except the Queen Zinger. Overall my opinion is:

DKC2 > DKC > DKC3

The first one is way harder. I've beaten the second one five times without getting a game over.

i will agree that there are a couple hard levels in the first one but i still thought the second was harder, dunno why. One level that was hard in the first one was the one with the moving platform and kremlings come from platforms hanging in mid air on to the moving platform. towards the end the send out krushas and you can't jump on em. took me like 10 lives to beat that level.

When I record there's no pause when I mess up, so the cam keeps going and when the cam says I've gone over 15 minutes and I know I've only got 10 minutes overall, things usually go wrong.

So now I pretty much just speed talk all the way through the vid to make sure it gets up.

Anyway, imo I think Diddy's Kong Quest is not only the best of the series it is the BEST game of ALL TIME! I love it! I still play it on my snes.

I beat the game a loooong time ago. I know all the secrets, but, even if everythings spoild, It was just as fun playing through again. And sinse I already knew how to play, I easily played through it :)

I think that if you play the game enough like I have you can get enough coins to last you the rest of the game without backtracking. A lot of those problems with the game are usually resolved with some practice. THAT explains why many people prefer this game over the 1st.

See I just hate the music, the look/visual style, no Donkey totally changes the gameplay and IMO it's for the worse and just many other things that make me really prefer 1 over 2.

But originallity was probably what also made the 1st one as special.
