Here are my points

1. Most bullriders have worked on a ranch and the best of them tend to own their own livestock ranch when their career takes off.

2. These are bulls not steers(a neutered bull that is usually the hamburger). Cattle are by nature a stubborn and ornery animal. You don't see people trying to pet a big ass bull now do you.

People who don't know about bull riding, do a little research. One, it's sport. You have to be in good shape, have great balance, & strength to do what these guys do. Two, they aren't actually "tied" to the bull, & they're bulls not cows, big diff. They wrap a rope around their hand & hold on. Sometimes the resin is what keeps their hands where they can't let go & sometimes their hands just get caught. Trust me, they don't hang on like that, getting the crap beat out of themselves just for fun.

The bulls are definetly respected greatly, the men take part in this sport for the andrenaline rush, just as other folks get when for example sky diving, football, skating, drag racing or whatever you want. For me the adrenaline comes from working in the gym or poppin up to take the monster flock of geese that comes in. Risks like this come with anything you do. Justin McBride has made $428,212 in one season, thats almost 6 times my yearly income.
