all this lotro against wow trolling ist fun, but i think you all forget that there are multiple motivations to play a mmorpg, which both games satisfiy to a different degree. What i'd like to know is how advanced or tricky the bossmechanics are, because of what i saw, hardmode raiding in WoW seems a lot more tricky and demands a better coordination, which doesn't mean that lotro isn't as good as WoW, its different.

I raided hardcore on wow for abit and some on LOTRO a while ago. I personally say while LOTRO has better dungeon content and graphical design inside raids e.t.c. Wow is just slightly ahead on difficulty for bosses in HM's and more. Starting LOTRO again now so I will check again.

In my opinion i will not tell any one game they copied from another because of many reasons. One game being older then the other. Games like Lotro and WoW cant really do much more then fighting in a FIGHTING game. "OMG IT USES A SPELLBAR TO PUT YOUR SPELLS ON!!! JUST LIKE WOW!" Not stolen. If the idea of using spells is stolen and a game doesnt want to take from another do you expect that game to just use the idea of poking a enemy to death without the fun of spells? Bosses are also not stolen.

WoW is a great game. just time for something new. nothing last forever, if that was the case you'll still be wearing Micheal Jackson jackets from the 90's.

1. WoW is not the 1st great mmo but it is the current 1.

2. its not gonna be #1 forever

3. some people like fantasy style mmo's (WoW) & some like a more real looking type mmo (Lotro)

BOTTOM LINE: play 1 until your bored w/ it and then move to the next... Star Wars: The Old Republic is next for me

@AdvGamerec reaching level 65 will take you some time I reckon, I haven't personally played LOTR myself, yet memorizing those 48+ skills would be an easy thing given the ammount of time you're going to use one when you level through. I used to play wow, and I had memorized every 9 characters different spells. It's not that hard, you'll handle it ;)
