This could be a rudimentary "dean drive". There are other nomenclatures. The device may include a counter rotating tandem coaxial centrifuge that uses a heavy mass which oscillates back and forth across a ninety degree arc. This isolates a specific linear inertia to one side of said device. The result is an impulse movement to one side and not the other. It has a relatively low efficiency, but potential does exist for refined versions.

This device can work only due to the natural friction between the "vehicle" and the table, if you try in the space with no gravity and no friction it do only oscillations forward and backward,without travel. It's a law: for every action exist an equal and opposite reaction!!

@datzfast Of course,partially is the friction that moves migrating bird and partially is a "reaction" law that move it. But fish and bird,accelerate mass of water or air,and "exhaust"them behind. In your system,the mass is always connect to the vehicle!!! Like a rocket,go forward because leave the mass of gases behind it!!! Study study study!!!!!!

I, like you I am interested in inertial mass propulsion, and as you have no money, but I suggest that you follow a path more "impressive" for your videos, try to build a "balanced" it takes a lot of speed, and then changes its configuration and off balance, "single shot" the effect will be more attractive

Сила трения "стояния" в импульсе преодолевается а при слабой тяге нет (формулы из школьного курса). Еще есть подозрени подлога, так как иногда слабое движение начиналось не с "рывка", хотя в инерционах именно рывок дает положительную тягу.
