When Elaine Joyce was hosting The All New Dating Game, The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, Murder She Wrote and The Golden Girls were the Top 5 Shows on Prime Time Television and also, Marvel & Sunbow gave us Transformers, G.I. Joe and Jem
and it was also the Final Season for Gimme a Break w/the late Nell Carter, The A-Team and Scarecrow & Mrs. King Starring Kate Jackson and Bruce Boxleitner
We also had Lazer Tag and Lazer Tag Academy on NBC Saturday Mornings
THis version didn't debut until September 1986, so the airdate is off here. Not sure why ELaine was replaced. Elaine and Jeff had more interplay with the contestants than Jim Lange did(Lange was hosting Million Dollar Chance of a Lifetime in syndication at this time, which may be why he didn't come back to host).
The All New Dating Game was great and the set and theme to this version was a perfect fit for Elaine Joyce
I wonder what Jim Lange thought of her hosting, I thought that she was pretty good despite her having an off camera attitude to many, but @ least she was better than Jeff MacGregor, IMO b/c to me, The All New Dating Game wasn't his cup of tea nor was the show his playground
Jim Lange, Chuck Woolery, Elaine Joyce and Brad Sherwood to me are BETTER than Jeff MacGregor
Thanks for even putting the commercials on! I loved how they used to dance at the end, and I was always stunned how their first date was always some exotic expensive locale, hawaii, tahiti, mars, lol
Do you have anymore episodes of the Elaine Joyce version of "The All New Dating Game," between '86-87?! Did she get fired after the season? Also, did she get along with Bob Hilton?
I dont think his your uncle.
