The stock is made from a mixture of Langley kits; Backwoods miniatures and Worsley works. The Prince is a kit from the 70's that uses an old mech, neither of which are made any more. These days I mainly model in bigger scales and I keep 009 going out of habit.
I remember my one and only trip to Blaenau Ffestiniog, back in the late 80s, and I recall that every building there was made of slate and seemed to be about 3/4 normal size. 8-D
does 009 use 00 scale buildings i'm building a coffee table for my dad with my brother and it will be the first layout we ever make i also need to know how big and small the radius of peco 009 flexytrac is
Hi, The only difference between 009 and 00 is the track. However, because the wheelbase on vehicles is short, the radius on the track is short as well. Peco used to make 9" radius points called 'crazy track'. I make my own track and have gone tighter than that on older layouts. A friend has made a track using a 2p piece as the centre. This layout is closer to prototype and I have used a minimum radius of 12".
Absolutely bang on!! This is very & I mean very accurate model of this railway.5* to you sir for making this model railway video & to the layout designer & builder.Cheers

Very clever layout. It captures the life of the festiniog, despite not being totally acurate.
