imagine if there u were in there on the way to school as a kid and ur just like ah shit i forgot my lunch then all of a sudden that happened ud be like holy jesus tits!
@supersnot4 Thats correct, they do this with buses to test them so they don't flip and also sometimes have drivers do this extreme style test so they know how to control the bus if they start to slip.
I actually just recently got to go through this course at FVTC for a different bus company and it was a great time. You really learn the capabilities of your vehicle and how to maintain control in emergency situations.
the most dangerous thing that ever happened on my bus was that my bus driver went to go break up a fight and forgot to put it in park. one kid finnally yelled out "the bus is rolling" and the bus driver jogged back up to put it in park.
My bus actually did this when i was a little kid. Maine winters means Icey roads, and sometimes the bus would hit a big patch of ice and slide around. And one time it actually spun all the way around in a big intersection.
Cool, I do that at work in my spotter all the time I'll get it in to about 6th gear let off the throttle crank the steering wheel and lock the air brakes
AGAIN > > > A school bus spins out of control and does a 180. (well . . . o.k., it was a controled situation.)But it still looks cool. This was taken on April 3, 2007 in Appleton at Fox Valley Technical College

I guess you're a bit slow. First, remember how a circle is 360 degrees? well, if you observe that the bus completely flips around it must rotate the equivalent of half a circle. so, it does 180 degrees of turning because 180+180 is the same thing as 360. do you see how that works? secondly, it's a controlled situation. it's being filmed because it's being done probably as a safety test. that should be obvious because a. it's not on a road b. only the driver is inside c. it's a traffic test area
try doing that at a red light full of cars and not hit a one hhehe i did thaty but it was not fun to me i was scared out my mind win i got stoped i got off that bus quik
It is even more fun in a rear engine bus. I did it up on Mount Hood Oregon for control training. I got up to about 30 mph and turned hard left as I accelerated and all of a sudden the heavy rear where the motor is just took the bus over and swung me all over the place. Fun.
I wondered where Charlie our old bus driver went!!!! We miss you Charlie!! --> Those stunts were cool!!! The other bus drivers won't do any of the stuff we asked you to do!! Well at least you got to a 180 turn.. wish u were still here so we could keep trying the 360!! P.S. My neck still hurts from time to time :P
Yea, that was at 20 MPH The instructor said let go of the steering wheel and then he poped the air brakes, and then released the brakes, if you listen you can here the air brakes.
