@mrjoeington Yep - that is exxactly what it is. A little cut off piece of bath sponge. It cost around 50 pence (a dollar) and is one of the best bass effects you can use.

very helpful thanx, although i find it much easier on the intro to go from 6th fret E string to 8th fret E string, rather than 6th E to 3rd A, less of a stretch....i have small hands :)

@patsharpish That's cool - that's one of the drawbacks of using other people's tab actually, they may have giant hands and a small scale bass and a different fingering system to you. It's just one of the reasons I don't use tab and prefer notation.
