  • I have blueinput and samsung galaxy S II 2.3.5 android and says paired but not connected.

    What to do ?

    thanks

  • @stavroulis1908

Contact the developer of Blueinput for tech support on their software. The method of connecting and pairing different phones is unique, so we can't give you direct advice on your phone unfortunately. You may want to make sure you're built in bluetooth is not overriding the application - as the the connection status should be shown on Blueinput and not on Android's connectivity status.

  • why am i looking at this. i have a Droid 3...lol

  • i'm quite tempted to get this, i wonder if I could use it with a desktop pc if I had a bluetooth adapter on it

  • does it work in htc gratia?? I have the keyboard but i can't paire it

  • @eneko166

If it is an Android phone, you need to have a special APP to pair it. Please search Google for this app:

    Teksoft BlueInput

  • @DayDealOnDisplay Yea... for 10 euros. Like heck, I can't get it to work even with this.

  • hey, now dont v require arrows?!

  • Is it good to write on? Are buttons responsive and does it register presses well?

  • @littlejacobeesti

Since there are so many models of this particular keyboard, the one we took a look at so long ago (this review is a year old now) was from ITON and we had no issues with it.

Just keep in mind that the keys are not clicky, but rather soft. The size of your typing finger (whatever you use) is the key determining factor whether or not it's going to be comfortable to use for casual typing. We would of liked it if the keys had standard QWERTY spacing rather than block.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay

Do you know any other this size keyboard which isn't made-in-china?

  • @littlejacobeesti

That's a tough one since all the major variants of this are made there. Our only suggestion is to check for multimedia Bluetooth keyboards made to be used with HTPC or media center setups since those can be rather small (the size of a remote control). They can be a bit pricey though.

  • I have a Htc wildfire s android 2.2 and I paired it up, but when I wanted to use it it says: paired but not connected, now how can I connect it ?

  • @Lrenx

Are you using the built in Bluetooth service for your Android Device - or are you using the App that installs the Bluetooth HID Driver? This keyboard comes in many varieties - and all of them usually require a specific App to properly pair and connect on Android phones.

Do a Google search for "Android Blueinput" for more information on that app.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay thank you that helped

  • @Lrenx what did you do, I got the same problem. Do I have to buy the 'BlueInput' in the market? (I got a HTC Wildfire)

    @DayDealOnDisplay can you help me?

  • I have a iphone 3g and its not finiding it

  • @ALLstarTHOMAS123 Still got 2?

  • you dont text much do you?

  • keyboard*

  • @ALLstarTHOMAS123

As with all bluetooth devices - the battery life is pretty long on these units idle, but varies if actively being used typing and paired. We would say you should test your keyboard first by charging it to full and running it through your normal paces and see if it's enough for you.

Keep in mind this unit also uses a pretty standard charging cable - so all external batteries that charge cell phones will charge this as well.

  • does it function in Nokia s40 ? (nokia X2) thanks

  • @PoRkInHu2

We're not sure about that - it appears your phone is not an Android or Win Mobile OS. The only thing we can recommend is if you can see if any other generic Bluetooth HID devices (Keyboards) can connect to your phone - and if they do - then this would work as well.

You can do this by visiting most electronic stores or even phone stores. They usually have bluetooth HID devices to try out and would be glad to demonstrate - if at all possible.

  • @ALLstarTHOMAS123 ebay or amazon for $16

  • I got one from hip street from staples, looks almost exactly the same, probably generic stuff. I popped it open and found a 220mAh @ 3.7v battery, but there is actually another space for one extra one, fortunately, I collected 2 x 500mAh @ 3.7v battery couple of days ago, so I soldered them instead of the original one, and screwed it in instead as it is slightly thicker, now I have 4.5x the battery capacity!!

  • these things r like 12 bucks on ebay!

  • does it support the galaxy tab??

  • @alel03

If the Galaxy Tab has built in support for Bluetooth HID devices, then it (and any bluetooth keyboard) should work for it. Otherwise, you will need specific drivers from a company called TekSoft that makes drivers for all Android Platforms. Just do a search on Google for "TekSoft" to bring them up.

  • DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU RUN NOKIA. ALL DRIVERS DO NOT WORK. I SAY AGAIN DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE EXPECTING TO USE THIS ON ANY NOKIA DEVICE

  • I have this keyboard and it works great with samsung galaxy S running official gingerbread 2.3.3 but there is a tinny problem, I get a mouse pointer on the middle of the screen which doesnt move with the keyboard or any other way.

  • I got this keyboard, and its alright.

The rubber nubby buttons really kill it for me as well as the unindented keys

  • is this supported in the MacBook Pro?

  • @skrimisher08

As long as it has bluetooth support, there should be no reason it wouldn't be. This keyboard is a simple Bluetooth HID device.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay sweet, thanks!

  • hey, i would know, did you have this keyboard driver for android system?

can you send the apk file to my email address? hero2000hk@yahoo.com.hk

    Thanks a million

  • hi.. I have a question;

today i use my samsung galaxy s for everything i used to do on my lap top - except 1 thing!..I cant type up my weekly reports for my job - I need to use Microsoft Word

would buying this keyboard solve this problem?!

why do most people get this keyboard? what do they mainly use it for?? weird question i know - but i would appreciate an answer - thanks

    holly

  • Work on lg kp500 cookie???????????

I'm planning to buy one, but i'm not sure......

Hope any1 is able to help.

  • Does this work with an iPod touch 2G?

  • @307alien

Actually on 2nd thought, although we know the iPod Touch 2G has bluetooth support if you have Apple OS 3.0 or later, we're not entirely sure 100% it would work with it. If anyone else has experience, they should chime in.

  • what the disk for??

  • @jailbreakmaster3

They carry some basic drivers for older Android and Windows OS systems. It's pretty much outdated by today's standards.

  • Does anyone know how to use the "@" symbol? I tried pushing shift first..

  • @whoowhaat u have to hold the shift key.

  • Does tis work on Nokia X6 Symbian V 5.

  • @TheNewguyzdmcs

We're not sure, but the best people to ask is the company that makes software / drivers for keyboard devices like these. They're called "Teksoft" and you can run a search for them (we suggest Google) to find their homepage. They should be able to give you an accurate and informed answer more-so than we ever can on the matter since we don't have the Nokia.

  • Cannot get it to work on my Blackberry 9700

It "pairs" but and the phone sees it, but it apparently does not connect. The blue light on the keyboard doesn't stop blinking and it is unresponsive on the phone.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

  • @CHRodz

Might want to see if a special app or download is required for the BlackBerry OS. The ITON (and all of it's derivatives / clones) are Bluetooth HID devices and not all mobile OS systems have this support built in. The company you may wish to check for a driver or download is called Teksoft. They are the ones responsible for creating support for these types of devices.

Just run a search for Teksoft in any search engine (we recommend Google) and it should bring up the site.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay

Thanks for the reply. I went to the site and they do not have a version for Blackberry.

So unless someone knows how to get this working, it seems it's NOT compatible with BB.

  • i got on key board but keep arsking for a code do you no what it is for i sende it back

  • @donne9uk

    Hi there!

The key code may be from your device and not necessarily the keyboard itself. The keyboard only has 2 possible codes, "0000" and "1234". If these do not work, then the device you are connecting it to is requiring a key code, and that key code can only be found out by either the manual provided with the device, or the device's own bluetooth application. Keep in mind if you're using an Android device, you need a special app/program to sync correctly with the ITON.

  • I can't get this puppy to CONNECT with my LG Optima Android 2.2 Smart phone (Sprint). It does PAIR, but will not CONNECT! The 3 manuals on the disc are USELESS! I have also tried BlueInput from Android Market...still no help.

Are there proprietary drivers for Android or specific smart phone device?

  • @NeilBSteiner

Android 2.0 devices and over need a special bluetooth HID driver in order to function. We can't place the link in the comments due to Youtube policy, but Google a search for blueinput android.

  • they not look just all the same,--- they ARE all the same. and non of them has a "Question mark" Quite useless if you have to ask a lot of Questions like i do

  • i just bought this crap for htc hd desire. what i see when i try to connect it is paired but not connected help?

  • @zulrivers

There are a lot of different versions of these types of keyboards. If it looks the same - it may probably be the same unit or very similar.

  • how do you actually sync this with an LG GT540, Running Android 2.1?

  • @TheDarkAce91

Android Devices require a special driver (app) to recognize the keyboard. This driver is provided from a company called "Teksoft" and the app or program itself is called "Blueinput" for Android devices.

Hope that helps. Please be aware we're not affiliated with that company at all - so if you require further questions or assistance - feel free to contact them directly regarding your LG GT540 and they can assist you in more specific detail.

  • Can i connect it with ipod touch 2g? (8gb)

  • @postmaster2211

The iPod touch 2G had it's bluetooth capabilities unlocked via an OS update - if we recall correctly. That being said - it is best to see if your device right now has no problems handling other bluetooth devices. Generally speaking if other bluetooth devices work flawlessy; than the iTON should have no issues with the 2G.

  • Are the buttons rubber?

  • @postmaster2211

Silicone keys are used. Rubber as a material is quite heavy and if used would have weighed the keyboard down quite a bit.

  • Will this work with Android 2.1 (HTC Hero)???

    P.S. - Cool device! ;)

  • @AligarhNS

Hi there. This item requires drivers for Android (2.x and greater) and Windows Mobile Operating Systems (6.0 and greater) unfortunately.

The driver is not free (at least we couldn't find any free drivers to use) since Android does not have built in Wireless Bluetooth HID integrated.

We've seen much confusion with other people who bought this keyboard to use with Android devices - so we just wanted to mention it does work as long as you have that driver. Hope that helps!

  • @DayDealOnDisplay thank you

  • Will this work with 3rd gen iPod touch???

  • @geckoguy798

Yes - the 3rd generation iPod touch should have bluetooth support already enabled on the player. If you're not familiar with bluetooth profiles or using bluetooth on the iPod touch 3rd generation - we would suggest you try connecting it to other bluetooth devices (if possible) just for reference.

  • will this work for macbook pros?

  • @latag1993

There should be no issue as long as the Macbook Pro has bluetooth support and is able to use simultaneous input devices at the same time. If you do not have bluetooth support, you may have to use a bluetooth dongle.

If you wish to test simultaneous input support - simply get any usb keyboard and plug it in. If you can type at the same time with both the internal keyboard and usb keyboard, you should be ok.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay

    Thankx =)

  • Thanks for the review! I was thinking about buying this, but now that I see it's that simple I think I will! Gonna use it on my LG Chocolate Touch!

  • this keyboard in black cost just 1euro+9.90 from china :) ! just search for "Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for Iphone PS3 PDA PC New" on Ebay dont let steal all your money by joke price shops!

  • Will this work for text messaging on the iPhone 4?

  • @jlt234

It should have no problems on text apps or messaging. The ITON is very easy to use with the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4th gen, in our tests.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay Also with HTC DESIRE HD OR Htc HD2 ?? :/

  • @michaldEv1

If you are asking about compatibility - it will work with those two phones but remember that it requires a special driver to be installed to function correctly with Android Phones.

If you are talking about reconnectivity - it will reconnect automatically like any other bluetooth device.

  • Will i have to pair this to a device every time i want to use it?

i.e, i bought one for my PS3 so every time i switch everything off, when i turn it back on will i have to pair it again ? or will it save ?

  • @IIxMURPHYxII

The keyboard should act like any other bluetooth device once turned on - meaning the PS3 (if searching) should reconnect to it if it's on. That being said, if the PS3 automatically connects to any bluetooth device it's already paired with, then all you have to do is to switch on the ITON. Worse case scenario, just press the connect button on the ITON.

Pairing is different from re-connecting, so you shouldn't have to worry about paring the two devices once done so.

  • If you're using the arrow keys for gaming, do you have to hold down the Fn key the whole time while using the arrow keys?

  • @initialdrift86

Unfortunately yes - as the FN key switches the keyboard to the alternate key set. If you're really serious about gaming and can't reconfigure the keys in that particular app to something else - I would recommend you not use the ITON.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay Thank you for the honest response.

  • will this work with a ps3 slim?

  • @circa6996

As long as the PS3 Slim has support for the HID bluetooth profile, it should work just fine (according to the manufacturer).

If this is your first time using a bluetooh keyboard, it may be advisable to try or borrow another bluetooth model keyboard first for testing purposes to see if it works with your PS3.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay thank you this was very informative
