hi! im thinking of installing HHO on my car as well, have you experienced any problems with backfire? or is that only accuring when you are running on pure HHO?
@axelhansenmendes You can never run on just Hydrogen unless you purchase a BMW or Honda which are the only manufactures at this time who manufacture a 100% HHO vehicle.
One huge problem with this...how are you measuring the gas input and reducing fuel injection in proportion to it? Unless you tell the ECU to do this, the car will keep injecting the SAME amount of fuel. Depending on electrical load on the alternator, it could cause more fuel to be injected...so there is NO SAVING!
How can there be if the engine just keeps injecting the same amount of fuel?
Not one person adding this device to a car can explain it, but some have realised it's a huge con!!!!
@urbex2007 that's what an EFIE is for.. or you can us an oxygen extender to add space between the O2 sensor and the terminal block. basically tricks the ECU into unaltered gas intake levels so the car doesn't add more fuel intake since the sensors are going to pick up a leaner gas from the hydrogen. i bought a HHO generator from Green source for my camry and i get 50 mpg now.. its pretty nice i only fill up about once every 2 weeks
I have a 04 tundra v6 rwd and i'm planning on putting one on it!!! can you tell me if you gain any mpg at all, and if you did how many mpg! and how big is your unit, one, two, or three liters etc. . . how how often you have to fill it up!!! thank you
@Rugghead98 Fuel injection is controlled by the ECU, unless you alter it, it will continue to inject the same amount no matter what you inject in to the air intake. Can you please explain to everyone how your ECU is injecting less fuel when you inject hydrogen in to the air intake? Exactly how are you saving money if you are not altering the amount of fuel used? Unless you or others can give a sensible answer and know how a basic engine works, it appears it's a total con - you have been conned
Rugghead98 is absolutely right!! The ECU will not compensate, it just keeps dumping the same amount of fuel no matter how much HHO you inject. You can put an EFIE, Oxy extenders, but the freaking ECU does not care. You can have the most efficient HHO system producing 3,4 even 5 liters/min, but it doesn't matter your problem is in the ECU! If someone can tell me how to trick it or where to buy a modified chip that will allow the HHO to be burned efficiently, I'm all ears?
@outofcomms I have a 4 liter dry system in my 05 Tacoma with 36 stainless steel plates using Potassium Hydroxide not baking soda, I can fill a one liter bottle with Hydrogen in less than 15 seconds. I believe HHO systems can work if you can get the ECU to communicate.
The guy hasn't really been using it, and he hasn't maintained it at all. He did like it a lot, but I told him to change the water, so he could do it on his own, and he got scared, so I gotta sit down with him and go over it again.
the unit seems to work well with the truck. the guy reported more power and uses his gas pedal less. i asked him to document his MPG improvements. I will check to see how the unit holds up, and i will get back to you.
you lost me at hello =)

Are you also using an EFIE device for each oxygen sensor to optimize the fuel air mixture?

I plan on building a few more this summer: I got some new ideas and a new unit.

Seems so simple. Guess one day I need to do it just so I can see the difference myself.
