I've seen this plane many times and no matter what Airshow or Air Day it may be that she goes to and no matter what other aircraft is at that show, 558 will always be the one that turns the heads. Looks so graceful, that huge delta and its agility with thanks to that huge delta. I have a video of 558 taking off from Fairford at the start of its display & with that huge delta wing it pulled up so sharply and not only that but pulled off a huge right hand bank at least 120 degrees right after
Great video, nicely flown! Have this add on myself, I cannot believe how superb the Vulcan's handling characteristics are. I now appreciate why pilots say she flies like a fighter, incredibly manoevrable for such a big beast. Barrel roll, loop, tight turns, she does the lot! At high altitude, the handling characteristics are superb, small wonder fighters struggled to manouevre with her at 65,000ft + What an awesome piece of BRITISH engineering. RESPECT TO THE BIG V!
