I found that video strangely...uplifting. While impressive as evidence of good design, it also inspired in me a great deal of admiration, almost affection, for the plucky little vessel.
@zhang463 ...you really are a freekin' muppet aren't you......the clue is in the title .................1:12 scale Interceptor MODEL tested for selfrighting.
GET A LIFE AND FIND SOMETHING USELESS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.....NUMPTY
It's a model, it's not balsa and it doesn't have lead fishing weights stuck in the bottom!!!, peasants. I built it and I take pride in my work!!!
@lifeboatmodeller lol im a noob at ship stuff,. and you apear not to be :P so i have a question do the full scale models behave the same way at sea ???? because that would be like frikkin awesome (unsinkable??) i would actually want to go out to sea in something like that (im afraid of water :P ) (sorry for my poor poor spelling!! )
@fonkyman have a look at the frank wildcat's videos of the real stuff. brilliant. depending on where you live, contact either the USCG, or the british RNLI for info on serving with them as crew.you must be committed though to that way of life.
@lifeboatmodeller oh im sorry i didnt see your comment but i live in holland do you think they have ships like that around here anyway ??? anyway i dont wanna do something like that for a job but i would be willing to go out to sea on a ship like that :P thanks for the comment !
hi, sorry, but I didn't keep them after I finished the model, but if you contact Frank Kowalski at Safehaven Marine, I'm sure he would be able to help you.
No, there are frightened people in the windows frantically waiving their arms. Plus, towards the beginning you can barely see the captain leap out with a red life vest.
and of course we're all forgetting that even though the ship might have made a few deals with gravity, the men inside are rolling around inside of that bitch
Never seen anything llike that before - quite an amazing model. I wonder(would not want to experience!) how this mirrors the actions of the real thing in such conditions.
it was built by myself, from plans obtained from the company called Safehavenmarine, and was built from plugs I made, and moulds made for me. it is powered by 12 volt torpedo 850 twin motors.
@nhp651 Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of the safehaven plans? Otherwise details of how much they wanted for them and who you contacted would be awesome. Cheers :)

Anyone can make a balsa wood model and weigh the bottom down with some fishing weighs and make the boat self right. Even Chuck Norris can do that.
