Yeah I agree, that's been my biggest problem with writing my own stuff. I have all these Patrick tendencies that kind of don't feel right in the context of a song I may be working on. My original stuff lately has been kind of a mix between all of the styles I've been covering such as CIWWAF, Acedemy Is, The Maine, & Fall Out Boy vocally. As always, work in progress. As for the (negative) comments about your voice, I think you might be trying too hard to sound like patrick... Cause I know that he sounded a little nasly to me the first time I heard this song, he just grew out of it. You'll sound a lot like him when you get a little older. It did clear up later in the song though when you relaxed into it more.
