No. He was performing. The orchestrator/conductor was Suzie Katayama. She contributed the string arrangements for Time Lapse Consortium and the majority, if not all, of the string arrangements for their albums.
I believe Mike played various instruments throughout the piece. I believe I saw a few analog effect units as well as a wealth of keyboards played by his brother Ben, the guitarist for Simon Dawes, as well as himself.
Many thanks for the major recording effort and posting. I was there on lower floor. 3D was not so great from my perspective but I kept the glasses on for the whole piece. Mikey is without doubt gifted.
dude, i'm pretty sure i had the best view with the glasses. i was dead center on the balcony 4th row, and everything that went up the center and the sides looked amazing.

I think he mentioned within the last couple months that he is working on two movie soundtracks. No more detail than that unfortunately

his writing kind of reminds me of Gershwin, kudos...

Gershwin? Do you have any idea what Gershwin sounds like?
mlundquist5 3 years ago 2
@deathcon101
Gershwin? If anything, this sounds like Claude Debussy (g.o.a.t. among composers imho), or something else from the Impressionistic Era.
