What can i say... brilliant. So love the fact the use peedi peedi.. nuff love to the roots.. love to peedi peedi, what a guest rapper !!! big up roots for being daring and continuing to drop him on their stuff ! I feel ya, long time no see... ;
i like the way ?uest is playing the funky drummer break with a twist all of his own. i heard him do it with d'angelo playing JB on the voodoo out-takes. he's the only drummer i've ever heard do it jussss right. legend.
It's been a while since I've listened to The Roots. Was using Pandora at work on the Jay-Z channel and this came on. As soon as I heard the beat drop and Black Thoughts voice I got goosebumps. True hip-hop in the rawest format. Classic shit
This is music at its best. They merge so many genres into one seamless peice of art that makes you unable to walk away. This is the epitome of hip-hop, but their music also reaches far beyond the hip-hop world.
In my opinion, The Roots just might be one the the most unique and talented bands of all time.
I love this song. Thanks for posting dude, although you've got about 2mins of dead silence at the end of the song which you might want to think about trimming.
