correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the evangelical (and in fact most religions and their sects) always saying "the world is coming to an end! repent and join us before it's too late!". ? Sure, cult recruiters have been using that line for at least 8500 years, but still, evangelicals wear it like a badge.

Wow. Hypocritical perhaps? Isn't it christians who preach that God controls everything, including thins such as the weather i.e. the way in which our climate changes. Funny how there is an insistance that you need help from God to fight global warming when what you preach would indicate that he controls that very thing you are seeking to solve. I guess you could pray for him to stop global warming, oh wait, that never works. My fault.
