Does the bass riff that comes in remind ANYONE of a Biffy Clyro song? Maybe one of their b sides? Ive searched and i cant seem to find what im after!

SLAYER!!!!!! would feed these guys other guys balls and stick their delay pedals up their nether regions. and the drummer looks like a less successful conan obrien.
@ballrigors1 okay, so #1 I can play bass faster than tom araya and do it for longer than an hour with my fingers and not a shitty pick, #2 slayers music is really easy to write while post-rock is not, #3 all slayer does is write in a minor key, play fast, and slap some distortion on it....that takes talent.
@94dhk oh no, here we go with that tired old technique question of bass playing: pick or no pick. Does it really matter aside from some tonal differentiation? I was speaking mainly of Lombardo's explosive drumming, which i assure you only an idiot would dismiss as talentless. I'm not sure whether his drumming is in a minor or major key, however. If you like meditation music to get stoned to more power to you man.
@ballrigors1 well yes picking does matter because it can change tone....and the drumming in slayer is alright i guess, but you're really going to dismiss an entire genre because of the drumming? and im the idiot? and if you had any musical intelligence you'd know that he is obviously drumming in a minor key, but hey, if you wanna listen to your metal which is easliy produced and just rides on distortion and screaming lyrics more power to you man.
@94dhk I never dismissed the post-rock genre...i like rapeman...I was speaking of this song in particular Einstein. You are making assumptions that I listen to only metal which i guess speaks of your intelligence.
@ballrigors1 so anyone who has ever had intelligence has never assumed anything? guess thats speaks of YOUR intelligence, and Mogwai is 10000000% more talented than rapeman
@ballrigors1 just a bit of information for you, in order to conduct any type of experiment you have to assume what the outcome will be, i.e. a hypothesis, so what you're saying is every scientist ever had a low intelligence?
@94dhk Here's a hypothesis: I hypothesize that you will continue with this battle because you need validation that you are a smart motherfucker. I still think that slayer would feed these guys other guys balls. An assumption is a preposition that is taken for granted with no interest in finding the truth, whereas a hypothesis is an educated guess followed by tests to prove it right or wrong....big difference.
@ballrigors1 funny how as you try to sound smarter your typing and grammar get bettter, and actually you commenting back is implying that you have a need to continue this argument. and your "hypothesis" wasnt a hypothesis based on your definition of hypothesis, it was an assumtion, way to contradict yourself.
@ballrigors1 no it didnt, there was no experiment conducted due to the fact you don't know my intentions for commenting back so you ASSUMED it was because i want to be recognized as smart.
When I first heard this song it made me cry tears of happiness because it reminded me of an amazing girl that I fell deeply in love with who changed my life forever..the song told me to never give up and always follow you're heart cause your heart will never do you no wrong..powerful song.
I remember hearing this song played midday on BBC Radio 1 with Jo Whiley back in maybe 97-98. Between all the Pulp, Oasis, Blur etc.. this thing came blasting out. I was blown away even 30 secs in. Has been my favorite song ever since. NEVER get tired of it and listen to it at least once a day.
The full title alone really sparked my imagination.

@onemorestepandyoudie I love all genres of music, and I've seen tons and tons of live shows. There is nothing that compares to seeing Mogwai live. It is truly one of the greatest things I have ever experienced, not just musically, but in general. The music just completely engulfs you, it's indescribable. On a list of things to do before I die, seeing Mogwai perform in Glasgow is definitely near the top.
Actually I mean this one, helicon part 1. It's on government commissions. The other version of this song, that is on ten rapid, is in my opinion a whole different song, not nearly as good one. If you want THIS song, buy government commisions.
if EITS had written this song, it would fit perfectly after "Greet Death".

@94dhk talentless? ok. you try playing drums or guitar at slayer speed and still have it sound precise for an hour or more during a concert, fuckface
