Holy crap! I haven't seen this lost little gem in over a decade! I remember taping it off the Lifetime network when i was 8 yrs old and watching it endlessly. I remember thinking that the kid playing Ethan was the absolute WORST actor in the world. lol. Looking at it now he's still pretty bad but a lot better than some of the kid actors i see in movies today. I used to have a Tron pajama top just like his back then too! This is such a cool movie that brings back some great childhood memories.
I was terrified as a kid seeing this, and has stayed with me for years, I could only remember a large gray beast with horns and glowing red eyes, and the boy with the baseball bat hiding under the sheets too terrified to move. Too bad the last minute is cut from this version where the mom goes upstairs to clean his closet and the monster pulls her in. I had nightmares about this, much less campy. That kid doesnt have any privacy in that room not even a door that would suck how was he supposed to party when he got older???I know its a stupid question but it was eatin at me,probably a movie set anyway

I saw this on Lifetime too when I was home sick from school. This always stayed with me and I never forgot it.
