@Karlitox23 these are injected engines and they probly spray more fuel into the manifold than needed. The cost of fuel for formula one is like the cost of a pack of skittles for a rich person
@stlchevy95 i can guarantee you they spray the exact amount no more no less for perfect combustion each time. and no they do not waste fuel. google the effects of changing the air/fuel ratio mate
i miss these days...3.5L V12...then they mandated 3L V10's....then again downsized to 2.4L V8's...now the highest and possibly the hardest type of motor-sport (F1) gets downsized again and is left to run turbo 1.6L V6's by 2014...that quit at about 15k rpms...when Cosworths V8 ran to 20,000...what happened to the good'ole days??
Is it carburated? What are those things at the top? I'm sorry, I saw another video of a Renault Engine where those things appear to "shoot" gasoline like injectors, but you see all the gasoline spilled out. That's why I ask this question, sorry for my ignorance
@strange6 you have right Also dont forget that with the V8 engine is lighter than v12 so in bennetton ford engineers was able to put more ballast in the car floor so bennetton had lower the center of weight which is very important in corners. With v8 engine the benneton chassis had smaller length so chassis was lighter and they put more ballast and car was more flexible in corners. Also v8 needs less fuel in fuel tank which means less weight, less number of pit stop less time in pit stop.
I got a thing called tourrette and those fade outs made me so agresive that i punched my screen i took another one from my room and i finished this comment.
Lol, at first I was like "what fade outs ?" But then... holy fick dude, lay off that windows movie maker feature you've obviously noticed the other day.
Only in F1, will you see header primary tubes large enough to look as if they belong to a big block chevy, though they belong to an engine displacing just 3.5L Takes some serious piston speed to require a header that large.
@WesleyCful pff dude read before you comment pls...Dude I asked if it has the f1 engine "MODIFIED" obviously...watch fifth gear and they say it they even put the f1 car and the f50 side by side and say well they have both nearly the same engine. Yeah an expert yeah!
cool vid man keep on youtube. One more thing that engine made 816bhp at 16500rpm the best engine ever in f1 in my mind. god i wish they would go back to v12 engies but they won't ferrari v12 the best.
@gooseneck12 Actually, the HondaRA186-E is the best engine in F1. 80 degree V6 Twin IHI Turbos, 1.5 L, Full aluminum head/block. 900 peak HP. I believe it revved anywhere between 12-13k. They were banned because they dominated the era of F1. And because of it, turbos were banned as well. Look it up.

Lots of top-end power but no torque and piss poor driveability. The Ford-Cosworth V8 eat this V12 for breakfast!

@Pinin500 Envious of what? The Ford V8 won the world championship that year with Schumacher whilst the V12 kept on breaking,

@madtownmadman~ the primaries slightly taper outwards from the exhaust ports.
marek0086 1 year ago
@marek0086 Or, in American v8 terms, step headers.

I'm with you on that. Those mopped 2.4L V8s are even worse than 3.5L mosquito V8s including Benetton Ford B194. The best is still the V12s.

@3L3CTR0static: no, the engine of the F50 is the same of the 1992 F1 car but modified in displacement and various.
borrelliantonio 1 year ago
@borrelliantonio ah ok ok well wasn't sure but I heard it had an early 90's f1 engine (modified obviously)
3L3CTR0static 1 year ago

thats a really freakin small fly wheel!!!!!!
superfunnyman123 1 year ago
@superfunnyman123 it's a harmonic balancer not a flywheel
asterisk86 1 year ago
@asterisk86,
@superfunnyman123,
It's neither flywheel, nor Balancer.
It's simply the but end of the crankshaft to mount the flywheel/multi-plate clutch components.
Philscbx 1 year ago
@superfunnyman123 Which also helps massively how fast it builds up revs.
