thats what shocked me when i read imam nawawis riyadu salihin too. that he was 37 years old when he died. Subhan Allah! that is something else. most known Muslim scholars studied more years than imam nawawi lived on earth, and yet he is above many of them in his field (hadith collection and fiqh).
