@jameswsparker I coudnt agree more friend,i mean it gets to the point were teens don't even know who james brown IS.man,as a society,we've really gone downhill musically and in almost every other aspect as well.
@jdmoonwalker12 Apparently, everyone around me wants to be 'ganstas', whatever that means. Apparently, it's 'cool' to follow a set character type for people. Rather like a fashion sense, my generation have titled themselves into a genre where they feel obligated to listen to specific music to define their emotions, it's pathetic and stupid.
My favourite artist is Michael Jackson, simple; and I like it because he's talented.
It's a shame people would rather listen to talentless rappers.
@jameswsparker EXACTLY i feel the same way.and it makes it worst for black people because it helps spread the stereotype that all blacks are drunk, high and ready to fill u full of lead.Michael is the perfect example of what all of us should try to be like whether ur an artist or not.
@jdmoonwalker12 True. Our society has grown so fond of listening to utter rubbish/garbage that they have no sense of emotion of feeling to any true, talented musicians.
Wow, This generation need to be exposed to this amazing performer. These young cats cant touch Tony Wilson. In vocals or athleticism. The world is ready for your raw talent.
to7beers: James Brown is great but No this is not JB - this guy dancing is a TONY WILSON (who started his career as Michael Jackson's impersonator, by the way)
@jazzzco yes I also read that James brown would do rough tumbles, flips and splits before he and the Flames had their first hit, but decided to pull back on the tumbles and flips. He knew if he got hurt his career would probably have been thru.
He jumped off of a piano one night , cleared the stage and landed in front of the audience! he had to be helped up after that and decided to cut back.
Good music? Talent? Listen to Nicki Minaj, that's good music.

I'm a kid, but why the Hell does modern day music and dance have to be so shit.
This is the real deal.
Michael Jackson, James Brown; we've lost all the real music heros.
And annoyingly, no-one my age realises true talent and would rather listen to talentless 50 Cent rap music.
What the Hell has happened to the real music and dance?
If someone finds it, tell me.

@jdmoonwalker12 Well stated jdmoonwalker12, your username identifies good taste.
It's terrible people base races upon music culture, it's also terrible how people inspire to be thugs and idiots because of the music they listen to.
Most of all, it's interesting how people judge music they haven't heard.
I introduced MJ and James Brown to my friends, they bought all their albums.
Apparently, good music is 'Granny music', redefined: "music from an older generation must be unpopular".
jameswsparker 1 year ago
@jameswsparker That's because people today woudn't know good music if it them in the face.

Michael Jackson is WAY better. James Brown looks like he just tries to dance. Or tries too hard. Know what I mean?

James was the best in his time. Mike took James moves and built on that , like Hammer did. Every generation strides to become better and does.
