First of all, SNSD has several very talented vocalists; Taeyeon and Jessica are easily good enough to sing for Kajiura, and the rest of the vocal line holds their own quite well. Second, I don't think anyone has any right to say what is "true music" and what isn't. SNSD's songs may not tend to have a great deal of depth, but that isn't their purpose in the first place. That does not exclude them from being "true music."
@FeatherShard In my terms, you are right about the 'true music' part..Not because that I wish to include SNSD into this 'true music' concept or exclude from it, but because I believe this concept is a personal issue. It differs from person to person.. However, as a person who is singing for a quite a while, I can say to you that these SNSD ladies have no extraordinary voices.. They have just normal voices which is more than enough for the type of music they are making.

I mean, SNSD is focused on show instead of songs which is the other way around for Kajiura.. That is the reason why SNSD has models who needs to be 9 people to reach a voice level of 1 while Kalafina and Fictionjunction has powerful voices rather than looks.. @murrue02 Maya sang main melodies in sprinter, in addition to secondary melodies. Very little back-up vocals. She also performed in the live versions of Kizuato and ARIA.
@rainsnowinter you should check out the PV to see Maya's parts. .sprinter is the only official song she was in, in Aria and Kizuato live she was added up.

About "easy replacement", Yuriko is the better Kajiuran singer and Wakana sings mostly Kajiuran in sprinter. Should Wakana be replaced with Yuriko? No. I think it's impolite of you to label Maya as "back-up", just because she's not in this live and other people are singing her parts.

We don't know for certain why Maya's gone, don't make assumptions she left because she was "replaceable" or that she is unnecessary because other people are singing her parts. My point was that just because Maya is not in this live does not mean she is back-up, regardless of what you think about back-up singing. The sound of a three people sprinter is clearly different from the sound of four people.

Music is a wide, WIDE world. Each music has its own styles. Rock, RnB, Classic, Pop, etc.
We can't really compare which is which. Real music lovers tend to see the beauty in every music they hear.
It goes in the same way for singers, composers, and musicians. They have their own styles to make music with.
Kpop, Jpop, whatever music we all feel like listening, it doesn't matter.
Kalafina and SNSD make music that we both love so why not just support them? No need to compare, really.
