Quite agree. This global crisis is far, far bigger than Sir Fred Goodwin. It is totally unfair to use him as a scapegoat.

I think we could all name a few worthy causes where £690,000 a year would help instead of going to those who have brought the UK's financial services to collapse.

Be a damn sight better to hand out the money to medical causes such as cancer sufferers who are having to fight health boards & write hundreds of letters just to get a few pills.
