I first started playing this piece around '05, a few years after I decided to learn to play the piano. Since then, this piece still has deep meaning to me and is a huge inspiration.
@Lelindir I always use musicnotes[dot]com (sorry, won't let me post the link for this song, but you can just search under "Le Onde") I ordered a whole book of Ludovico Einaudi's songs from musicnotes, and I love it! :)
I have become addicted to listening to Le Onde. It's my favourite piano piece ever written. My friend who can play this always plays it for me and when he plays he never fails to make me smile. It's a beautiful piece and I think more people need to able to apprechiate more amazing music like this!
I found this mans music when I needed it the most. Or maybe it found me. It sounds corny but it heals my heart. It truly is therapeudic for the soul. It is the first and only thing I have found that can take me away from my grief and it gives me a sense of peace and calm and for that, I am forever grateful. It has been something I desperately needed and now that I have found my tunnel, maybe I can find my light. Thank you Mr. Einaudi. Words cannot express.
if you love einaudi, you might like my latest composition, "la Force et la Faiblesse". Just click my username below. I hope my piece moves you in some way
I was thinking about performing this at my school concert but do you think it's too long and people will get bored? I can't find a shorter Einaudi piece to play..
@jbhelh It doesn't matter what others think, even if its long and boring. You should feel happy you have the guts to go up on stage and preform a beautiful peace of art. This is a wonderful piece of music, be proud.
@Lelindir Ooh, I just replied to your other comment :) I found it from musicnotes[dot]com. It's a very reliable site, I always buy and download my sheet music there :)
@Lelindir My pleasure! I love playing this piece!! There's actually a recording of me playing it on my youtube channel ;) Hope you love playing it as much as I did! xx
What do you see? Some gaze upon the sea for forgetfullness, others hope to be encircled by the currents of belonging. Some are drawn to the beauty reflected from its dancing surface, others frustrated by the distortion & lack of solidity. Behold the raw power of His judgement & the waves of His mercy! Is it a source of food, shelter & life, or cold, danger & death? There is freedom in looking away from self to the crimson tide of Love, to be washed clean & provided peace. What do you see?
@IBLawrence This is not about religion. It's about the Creator of all things, and whether we see and acknowledge Him, or take His good gifts and ignore Him. If there is no God, mention of Him does not belong anywhere. If there is a God, He belongs everywhere.
@truthflow1 Well unfortunately for you, I don't acknowledge (Him?) - how do we know its not a Her? I am ignoring a non-existent entity who might belong everywhere to you, but belongs nowhere to me! Don't try to impose your faith on others - sincerely, a very happy atheist who thus far has not been struck down by god :)
I've just started to study this piece for piano class. It's so so so lovely! I'm a bit addicted to Einaudi ... I studied I Giorni and few other pieces from that book last year.
@tito1655 I wish the world was just filled with green, not filled with gas...I wish we could live like the old days. It would be hard, but at least our world stays healthy.
