  • holy flying fuck, i was not really paying attention to the song (first time hearing this particular piece) and was like cool, but then the solo started...

  • Amazing album cover. This and "..and Justice for All" are got to be my favorites.

Too bad I can't find a poster of this one anywhere in Israel.

  • @Shalomalekum My favorite album cover is Nuclear Assault's "Game Over". Now that's funny!

  • poderoso tema---

  • darkness was a punishment.... memories time cannot mend.....

  • i never disliked any songs by chuck..every song was awsome and brutal...hail lord chuck... \m/

  • @realsik666 Yeah,Chuck was a real phenomenon in my opinion because he never stopped evolving his style and his band-not to mention his lyrics.

  • I L O V E D E A T H ! ! ! !

  • I recently started listening to death and generally death metal... i was more into thrash but i needed something A LOT more technical...then i found Atheist , Coroner and this...this is just amazing!!!

  • @Recuerdos50

    Welcome!

  • @Recuerdos50

yeah sometimes i need this really technical stuff too, so i'm either listening just to megadeth or this haha even though there is many technical stuff out there, i'm just to lazy to seek it

  • Hail Death!

  • How did chuck die?

  • @XenaXerxes666 Cancer.

  • @XenaXerxes666 Death.

  • @XenaXerxes666 Cancer. Next time use the magic of search engines, or the dark sorcery of Wikipedia.

  • Chuck Schuldiner didn't die. God just wants to learn how to properly play death metal.

  • @xxSkullgrinder Lack of originality.

  • @Helvetorment Most comments on Youtube lack originality, man. I knew mine lacked originality when I posted it. This is the internet. Most things aren't original, anyway. At least it wasn't a "[insert number of dislikes] people are retarded". Or a "thumbs up if..." comment.

  • @xxSkullgrinder hehe, i understand ^^ Thanks for not replying with rude words, telling me to fuck off and etc, because most of the people would do that ^^

Anyway, if you listen to death, you are awesome!

    \m/

  • @Helvetorment Oh, no problem, bro. :) I don't believe in getting pissed at my fellow metalheads. Thanks for not calling me a fag or a retard or anything. XD I wish more metalheads were mature like that but some of them aren't, sadly.

But yeah, if you listen to Death, you've got an awesome taste in music. Keep it brutal, my friend. \m/

  • @xxSkullgrinder @helvetorment Most comments that lack originality are the most original themselves. :O

  • @xxSkullgrinder So childish...

  • @Dhieen Unoriginal, maybe. But not childish. Other people obviously liked it, seeing as it's one of the top comments. Sorry my little comment annoyed you so much.

  • @xxSkullgrinder Not "so much" but it annoyed me yes, to see the same comment on alot of videos... It's stupid sorry... Why do you write that if you know that it's not original?

  • @Dhieen Eh. Well...I was a little drunk when I posted that. Is that a valid excuse? Haha. I understand where you're coming from, though. Those "thumbs up if..." comments piss me off a bit, so I can understand why you'd be annoyed.

  • @xxSkullgrinder Haha! It's "normal" to drunk and listening to metal, but if drunk make you do childish things... But no problem XD

  • @xxSkullgrinder i somewhat can see that happening. LOL god is sitting there with a guitar next to chuck and hes like...

god: damn chuck ur jesus at guitar.

    Chuck: thanks bro xD

  • @xxSkullgrinder ever heard of Mortification? i think God know how to play metal pretty freaking good.

  • @xxSkullgrinder Who is this "god" you speak of? I think it's spelled chuck Schuldiner.

  • Please check a Death/Black band which is very good in my channel called Dusk Chapel I try to advertise them to make them famous because noone knows how to listen to great music nowadays... It's one from the rare bands like Death and the father of Death Metal and master musician Chuck Schuldiner that make all the songs of one album masterpieces and not just one or two songs... Here is a sample: watch?v=Kawf4mTM6qI. Copy paste on google as it is or on the address bar of youtube Spread the word!

  • @EternalDeathhh13 I had a listen, fairly good, uninteresting vocals though, sorry.

  • @mujuma Don't worry, people have their own opinion. The world would be a boring place if everyone was the same. I personally like everything in their songs. Thank you very much for checking! ;)

  • This is the first Death Metal band CD cover which is colorful and bright! RIP CHUCK

  • protecting the weak points of the mind!!!! defensive personalities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The album art reminds me of a church service in Arkansas praising Peter Popoff cause he likes to call wheelchairs satanic instruments. AGH!!!

  • my fave death song

  • Kind of sounds like a black metal screech at 3:46.

  • when Will They Remaster This Album????

  • @breakfastMcgull This need no remastering, no bonus tracks, NOTHING. This is as close to pure gold as you can get. \m/

  • @muereteborre i dont really care for the bonus or anything like that,i just want it remastered so i can buy at my local area

  • @breakfastMcgull OK, but a re-issue is much better than a remastering, becuase they usually remix the songs on remasterings.

  • @muereteborre True

  • denyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy who they are

  • I hate when these songs end; I haven't gotten that kind of feeling from any other band.

  • i wood blast this cd, oops tape in local stores testing out steroes as a kid, i love death, rip chuck schuldiner

  • I've had this album for awhile and hadn't really listened to it....FUCK am I stupid, this album is fuckin' great

  • The leads on this album were some of the best.

  • oh god 1:22 is so beast for drums i love this band its only the 2nd song ive heard by them :$

  • @cheeseburger118 They one of the best bands you can find.

  • @Tooner5003 yeah they're ultra-awesome

  • 0:56 YES!

  • this album had the best vocals of death metal period ever thumbs up if you agree!

  • @FirePower3006 ALL of Death's albums had the best death metal vocals ever.

  • Still luv this album!;)

  • Death got to be reunited with bill andrews on drums in the next universe...R.I.P. Chuck

  • Death Rulez:-)))

  • RIP Chuck! All of your music are killer! Fucking badass riffing dude! Death gives me so much inspiration.. I'm a drummer

  • i have spiritual healing´s shirt

  • @KraT0s1993 Respect , lol ;)

  • i really need this album, it will compleat my collection

  • the more albums they put out the better they got! This shit is insane. But i'm glad i heard the other "best of" death metal bands first though!

  • The opening riff reminds me of "destroyer" by Gorgoroth lol

  • @cannibalcorpse5678 Except the fact is... Death doesn't suck lol

  • @ronaldmcdonald333 alright dude seriously stop spamming all these Death video. It's not funny and it doesn't make any sense

  • The middle drum part is perfection!

  • i want to see death (and i know i cant)... but i would be pretty scared. there'd be a moshpit every song. and me being 13, i would most likely break legs and arms.... maybe even die.... yeah probobaly die

  • This song was ahead of it's time.

  • I hate the picture on the cd cover. Its something with that picture that I think is pretty creepy and evil.

  • @IAmInPartyMode its like benny hinn guy creepy hell ya

  • Too bad that other Death albums aren't like this. Me like this one! Sounds pretty much like Massacre-From Beyond ;D

  • My favorite death album just edging out Leprosy.

  • REALLY NOW.. MUSIC TODAY AINT TOUCHIN THIS STUFF! THIS IS WHAT U WOULD HOPEFULLY CALL REAL MUSIC!!! CHUCK WAS AND STILL IS THE MAN!!!

  • @TheSledhead321

there's lots of good new music, some people just prefer to live in the past, and I can understand that :P

  • @ilovesoda

........no, that's not true. Metal bands of today exist in an environment that is more supportive of their style and careers than what existed for Death in their day. Metal from this era had to work much harder because there were NO internet, social net, or even radio/TV coverage and advertising!

You can hear it in the music, Death only had their stage time to win people over, so they had to make it count, unlike faggot -core's and screamo.

  • @gregonamus very true!

  • Viral Load Covered this Song i think.......Its so fucking awesome how a brutal death metal band can pay tribute to one of the greatest guitarist, songwriter, and person who has ever lived on this planet, and thats Chuck Schuldiner,

    R.I.P Chuck

  • Unlike many other bands there is not 1 song that i can honestly say i dislike that this band made...Thats very fucking rare.

  • @NocturneKing Same here, dude!. I listened to a Death song I never heard in my life and I fucking loved it! and it kept going on and on and on and on until i liked all of the songs haha!

  • Not where i'm at, of course im surrounded by wanna be richy rich stuck up ass holes, and the only thing close to a metal store we got here is hot topic, which is taken over by emo scene whores, and doesnt really count. Everyone here likes pop and shit, and the only people that listen to anything remotley clos to metal are the pople who listen to regular rock and the scene fuckers listening to deathcore and what not.

  • @Dssmetal69 Same here, althought some of my friends do listen to metal, but im really the only one who is not ignorant about death/black/grind.

  • @Dssmetal69 same where I live man. But metalheads are everywhere, stick with them when you find them.

  • I feel like death is horribly under rated...i mean hell, you dont see shit fom them anymore, not ever since Chuck passed. I never see a death cd or shirt anywhere. It's a damn shame. Yet Pantera shit is seen everywhere, and they aren't a band any longer due to dime bags death, but you still see thre shit everywhere, but not deaths. I love pantera, but Deah deserves more credt than them and alot of other shit..I mean hell, they invented a damn genre, and are still the only who did it this way.

  • @Dssmetal69 Thats not true dude, I see Death stickers on trucks and cars all the time. Hell I even saw a teenager with Kreator shirt on the other day. The intense thrash is still popular. Of course Slayer and Metallica will always get more attention. Pantera followers are stupid anyways, they can't even figure out that they just copied Exhorder. If nothing else Death's name will keep them in peoples memory.

  • @Deango2 I dont think Pantera "copied" Exhorder, but SURE AS HELL, Exhorder deserves just as much attention as Pantera gets.

  • @YTisMyPlaylist Yea your right, I didn't really mean what I said about them copying Exhorder, Phil was just a really big Exhorder fan back when he lived in Louisiana, so he was influenced by them. I don't really think Pantera copied Exhorder they just continued the groove metal genre, and made it popular and influential.

  • @YTisMyPlaylist

Agreed......Exhorder is heavier at times. Desecrator is waaay more brutal than Pantera just by the subjects they sing about

  • @Deango2 I love pantera and death...pantera never stole a riff from exhorder and dimebag made hundreds of way better riffs anyways, at the end of the day it comes down to who made better music, so im gonna leave it at: Pantera perfected groove metal.

  • @ChaosTitties I would agree with you on that, they did perfect groove, but at the same time I like them both for different reasons, Pantera had catchier stuff and better recording equipment, but Exhorder was heavier and faster. Then again speed isn't what makes groove metal what it is.

  • @Dssmetal69 I agree with Deango2, but i still think they deserved more credit.

  • Death's most underrated, yet best album

  • @imdashit5 AND I HAVE THE SPECIAL COLLECTORS EDITION OH YEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

  • Thumbs up if this is your fav death album! Sure is mine!! RIP Chuck Schuldiner

  • @1punkhardcore It's my favourite now as well , I just bought it, it's a lot better to have the actual cd with the booklet and all the cool stuff than to listen to it online, it sure adds to the experience \m/

  • @lucasa88 I have it on cd too ;D

  • @1punkhardcore My favorite all time Death album as well

  • @1punkhardcore The Best Death Metal Album in history. Yeah Rock on!!!!

  • lol Chuck sounds like the flood from halo @ 0:58

  • the best album in story ofdetahmetal..perfection is it

  • Nearly 25 years old and it still sounds like it was made yesterday. Completely timeless music. 5/5

  • the artwork is great in my opinion, however things are much different now days, but this was top o the line at the time

  • I always thought the artwork on this album was lame but the music is fucking awesome. This song kicks ass.

  • one more great song from death rip Chuck

  • kinda funny how amazing this album is, yet no1 knows about it

  • if they dont know about it,they dont deserve too!

  • Anybody care to dance with me!!!!!

  • im dancin as we speak

  • Was it Sience Fiction of this band? Lyrics:"Protecting the weak points of the mind"

  • @MarkusMueller1974 -not really, Chuck delved mostly into the 'inner universe'; that is to say his lyrics dealt mostly with social and personal issues, human interactions and morality and ethics in general...but there is a tinge of sci-fi in some of his subjects. 'Timeless' is how I'd define that...he had a certain 'philosophy' of humanity...and a pretty good understanding of basic human nature...

  • The dude was not just a phenominal guitarist, he was an amazing song writer too! I mean he really understood how to compose great music, and by doing his own thing, he created an entire genre of metal unto itself!...I gaurantee one day his music will be examined and taught in music classes...just like Bach, Beethoven and Chopin!

  • @matthewme23 Nah, everyone has far too big a vagina :P

  • this and vio-lences eternal nightmare are some of Ed's best artwork.

great song from a killer band!

    HAIL DEATH RIP EVIL CHUCK

  • @glasgowdmon eternal nightmare is a cool cover but i hardly think it's his best. It's a pretty simple composition although well drawn. i'd say scream bloody gore, rust in peace, and peace sells are his best. In my opinion. I also love art of partying and leprosy.

  • Spiritual Healing is the album no one knows, but everyone loves. Some of Schuldiner's main lead style started with Spiritual Healing

  • @Cornsnicker2 yeah totally its thier most underrated album and imo had the coolest cover art of any of thier albums

  • probably because spiritual healing is no in print any more. kinda wierd you can still buy scream bloody gore, and leprosy.

  • That playlist is awesome!

  • I think Chucks mind was a dark place... I'd like to visit!

  • lol take a vacation in hell

  • @TheMask0fSanity you should be glad he was a musician, gives you a chance to visit his mind.

  • Chucks mind was open and colorful, not dark and dreary.

  • death continues to be the nations number one killer! i miss evil chuck!

  • that was a good one man, fuckin aye Death reigns forever

  • @thedeviltroy Evil chuck really wasen't that evil, he was the nicest mother fucker you could find in metal. RIP Chuck.

  • @thedeviltroy The World Is More Like It! \m/!

  • Comment removed

  • @thedeviltroy chuck was not evil

  • @headbanner666 i know,it was a name i heard a long time ago and it stuck, probably because his voice is so awesome

  • @thedeviltroy well his voice is evil but it changed like on the album symbolic wich is my favorite album im not saying his voice was bad it just changed

  • @headbanner666 The first 3 Death allbums are referred to as the "Evil Chuck" era because he still wrote lyrics about killing, gore, etc, and the music is pure death metal rather than the prog-death of the later albums. Chuck also used "Evil Chuck" as his stage name in the early days.

  • @RawMetalofDeath yes but it seemed that chucks voice has changed from album to album his voice went from deep to high and the best part is no matter how much that changed death has not released a bad album NEver chuck is what made death good hes the death metal god though i see some weird twists and turns on the human album like later coming the sound of persarance still Good though all albums went gold for chuck personallty.
