  • just the way his hair is on the show

  • Maybe because he's an Elvis inpersonator and he had a show coming up ; )

  • lol i love the spock 2:15 he even got the eye widening thing down lol

  • For a fanmade project, this is very good quality. Their fandom peeks through a bit too much, but they portrayed the characters really well. The acting is a little flat in places, and Spock's mention of being half human was wildly inappropriate. Spock's character is not ashamed of that, but he doesn't flaunt it either. He's a very private individual. The actor playing Bones, put in a lot of effort to be Bones, and he gets a star from me :D

  • @Nemesis2k14 Right. No one can say anything critical, make any observation, because of pussyass faggots like you get butthurt and call us trolls.

Check your self importance, and toss it out.

  • Look its captain fonzie

  • 8:20 is a great Mirror Mirror scene!

  • Spock doesnt pull this off here but Uhura looks great.

  • They have terrible accents.

  • I watched the whole thing, it's like they tried to put in a reference to EVERYTHING all in one episode! Also the background music never seems to stop! Not too bad for amateurs, but sometimes less is more...

  • What a piece of crap; but its, like, really good crap!

  • I wanted to like it. I tried to like it.

Maybe I'll come back to it another day.

  • The problem is the lead actor playing Kirk. I've posted my comments before that he should step down, put ego aside and let someone else play kirk. To those wh defend him, I say this: WHY DOES EVERYONE ELSE IN THE CAST HAVE TO RESEMBLE THE ORIGINAL CAST MEMBERS EXCEPT THE LEAD??? Because the lead's ego doesn't give a damn. He wants to play Kirk. I can't blame him for that but I can certainly fault him for requiring the other actors look like the original cast. What an artistic hypocrite.

  • @pickerman123 I can't agree. Kirk is such a simple character that almost anybody could pull him off. This guy clearly has a great time riffing on Shatners' hamminess and the rug REALLY sells it. The rickety thespianism was a huge part of the old shows' charm, anyway. "Dammit, Jim, I'm a DOCTOR, not a DECENT ACTOR!"

  • My god man! The acting! ... is donkey doo doo

  • Coincidently I also use “Romulan” ale for medicinal purposes. :-P

  • send these actors to deep space. yikes.

  • why do they use the music from TNG the best of both worlds when they battle the cube in first time

  • Amazing how much William Shatner has emulated James Cawley...........

  • @GNeuman correction

moar like James Cawley is the one whoes emulated William Shatner

  • Where are the homosexuals? After watching Star Trek Odyssey I realized that Star Trek was missing homosexuals. Now after they are included in this show is the best show ever. Without the homosexuals thsi universe wouldn't be complete anyway.

  • I love this episode. I notice some sound effects from Space 1999. When Uhura passes out, I hear the sitar music from one of the episodes in the first season of Space 1999. I like it. Very retro '70's.

  • I thought Josh Johnson from exeter wroght this episode?

  • 2:34....its the real actor who played Mr Leslie...

  • no no no no no no no no no NO NO NO!!!!! that is not chekov!!!! NOOOOOOO WHY is he wearing red?????!!!

wait. is that the guy who played Peter in Blood and Fire?

  • lol...elvis

  • looks like babylon five acting lol, tell that bitch to get her knickers off lol

  • The recreation of the orginal sets, and uniforms is amazing! But the acting needs work, and what the hell is wrong with Kirks hair? And Spock looks like a guy dressed as a women, but yet as Spock.

  • our five year mission,

    to take acting lessons.

  • I want the crazy alien Jewish chick.

  • This is the one episode in the series (aside from the unaired ones) that I hadn't seen. It's....um, not as good of quality as later ones. I do love that the bit about Spock knowing what irritation is was practically lifted verbatim from a TOS episode. Very cute.

  • Spock here needs some help, and Kirk with an Elvis haircut just don't make it! Fair to good sets, but the actors need something!

  • That's a crazy squatter's chick. Don't bother, she can't be reasoned with.. They weren't around in the 60's. Just like star trek episodes which force homoerotisism down everybody's throats.

  • Why reboot!Uhura in original!Uhura'suniform?

  • we got a lady Q, and Borg flyin around in a pyramid? what is this?!

  • @nightowl685 they ran out of idea's..

  • @nightowl685 wtf is a TNG borg pyramid doing in a fan made TOS film like this? it just makes no sense to me? n incase most of you havent forgotten that borg pyramid is a colony ship designed to assimilate worlds

  • booay, that hair looks like sumin outta da swamp

  • I've been watching the full episodes on the startreknewvoyages website. They are so good, it's a shame you can't buy them. Love seeing the ST vets in them. The Walter Koenig episode is amazing!!!

  • "what.. is ..it..spok .. you green blooded son of a bitch!!!"

  • It is like a remake of the episode where no man has gone before

  • Totally worth the viewing to see Kirk own Spock at 3D Chess.... :D

  • Feels a little too cartoonish abd comedic. Not dramatic enough. Also, Scotty's Scots accent is awful and the actor jumps out of character too much.

I'd post a breakdown and recast the whole thing. Also, what is up with Kirk's hair?!

    Lame hair.

Big fan of Trek...this show is killing it for me.

  • Good starting point, piss-poor casting.

  • Why does Checkov wear red?

  • ..........

Moderately impressive visuals on the space scenes. I'll give it that.

  • It's more reminiscent of "Dr. Who" than "Star Trek."

  • the thing that bugs me about stuff like this is they can never seem to get the cheap echoey sound off the dialogue. its not even that hard to do =/

  • For an independednt series is pretty good, I wish the dialogue wasnt so roomy.

  • He looks like a mixture of Elvis and Wolverine! xD

  • Why is Kirk's hair like Elvis?

  • James Cawley is actually an Elvis impersonator - why he keeps the style as Kirk is another matter!

  • that's the actor's day job

  • ARTIFICIAL gravity is less when your head gets too big!!!

  • @CGren123 I wonder the same thing...

  • The sets and effort are top notch - you guys need better direction with set ups and exchange. TOS had signature camera moves that would benefit if you were to apply them to your films

  • Waaait... why's Chekov wearin' operations-red? o.o

  • It's generally assumed that by the time of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chekov was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to security.

  • Ah, yes, of course. Fillin' the gap between the original show and TMP. Makes sense. xD;

  • LOL that alien girl is wierd :O lol.

  • The story is good, but the acting...could be better.

  • What acting?

  • i would love to tap that fine uhura and Q ass

  • hey dude... wanna come on over and do some romulan ale? I got the power shit, from romulas not that outdoor remian shit. We can hit it with the transporter, mr scott's gonna be gone for a bit. spock of course your in too wouldn't leave ya' hangin' dude.

  • Haaaa, it's gonna suck.

  • i think i died on the inside.....

  • Why does Kirk's hair look like Elvis'

  • James Cawley, the guy who plays Kirk, was an Elvis impersonator before he started doing this show. He still had the Elvis hairdo in the first two episodes of New Voyages, but not in the third episode "To Serve All My Days".

  • I learned that right after I posted the comment. He actually still is an Elvis impersonator and does the Star Trek thing for free.

  • awesome!

  • She IS cute ;)

  • that alien chick is hot is she a Q.

  • Hey - this is a really neat vid!! Like going back in time but having the knowledge of the present series. I wasn't too keen on all the characters at first but they are starting to grow on me. The graphics, history, characters faithful to themselves.. this is very well done and I really am enjoying it. Five stars and five stars to onlinequines for bringing them to us! Thanks hon!! (^_^)
