  • he helps the poor with communist style redistribution of farm land, of course everyone likes him. But I wonder how long his benefits will last?

  • VIVA HUGO CHAVEZ

    FUCK usa

  • chavez is gonna fuck our country up

  • Boo @ the mispronunciation of "Dominica" at the beginning...

  • I desire change I can believe in... in my thong! ahaha

  • Please do not trust Mr. Hugo Chávez!!! He is a liar!!!!

  • I agree.

I am tired of many peoples who dignified Chavez as the savior of Latin America, and called his critics as "idiots brainwashed by CIA". Yeah Uncle Same had done awful things there, but it cannot justify Chavez for his lies.

  • Data from the Washington-based PFC Energy suggest that Venezuela, needs prices to stay about $94 to avoid sliding into a deficit. Hugo and his socialist dream is about to die.

  • I agree...the only power Hugo has is in the oil of his country but as the world is falling back into 1990 economic situations the price of oil is only a negative for his government.

Venezuela is loosing steam and fast!!

  • Beutifull place! I whould like to live somewhere so green and exotic. Don't spoil it Chavez.

  • Hugo Chavez is the best leader of all the nations today. even if obama wins. Hugo allows more decisions to be made by the people. he is VERY democratic.

  • A few people seem to like Chavez a lot in Dominica.

"Hugo Chavez visited Dominica on 16 February 2007 for the official opening of the PetroCaribe storage tanks in Belfast and found time for some friendly hugs and kisses with locals"

  • The fact that this all happened shows a strong democratic process. I'm pleased, just about that:)

  • I understand Chavez' vision, for South America to stop being manipulated by US foreign policy.

    However, oil isn't the answer.

Hemp, which can be grown almost everywhere, doesn't destroy the environment and has 1000's of uses, might be an option for small South American countries to look into. Add processing plants and there would be more work than 300 oil jobs.

Not THAT's the sort of place I'd like to visit. Not the standard busy tourist traps:)

  • what a beautiful place...
