This song's like diving into a storm... you take a deep breath first, begin to feel the first drops of rain on your cheek, and then in you go. Once you're in, everything dissolves into utterly ferocious and unbridled chaos, varying at times in intensity as the serpent rises to attack and then plunges again into the ocean of sand to prepare for the next strike.
I guess it's like if you gave a sci-fi techno remix to the final chapter of Moby-Dick. And gave the whale laser beams.
@VEKL0R They aren't randomly generated as you go in. Shambertin is the main boss when you play through the Point of Disaster quest. Saint-Million is there when you go through the Sub Desert by itself. Kondrieu is the rare boss, meaning it can appear instead of Saint or Shambertin, but it'll probably take a few tries. :p
Plus, Kondy's drops suck, lol. It's disappointing to find him on Ultimate.
@phantasybrawler That's interesting, cause I've gotten Kondrieu on the point of disaster. And I've seen Saint before, but I don't remember if it was from going through the maps normally or not.
@VEKL0R Yes, you can get Kondrieu on Point of Distaster. If you see Saint-Million then that means you went through Sub Desert by itself, not a quest. c;
@phantasybrawler not so if you play the SCHT version... encountered it instead of Saint Million once in a run on either Very Hard or Ultimate, can't remember.
So.. Let me get this straight. Saint Milion is fought when you get there besides "Point of Disaster" (even no quest?), whereas Kondy happens to be a rare appearance of SM. Shambertin, on the other hand, only appears in PoD.
@ColonelRashid Since you did not use the "nicknames" for Saint-Million and Shambertin, I'll just assume you were wrong: "Kondy" is just a nickname, its actual name is Kondrieu.
@Neoomegasonic That's the thing: I wasn't trying to hit o. Which is why I only said "ken" and not "kenderiu" in my last comment; I probably forgot the name the second I typed it. XD
I havent got the guts to see this guy in Very Hard or Ultimate, but in Normal he was a pain in the ass (From all my 5 attempts on Normal, only once I succeeded. And that was only because my other party members agreed to give me their trimates so I can live on) Though he did go down a little quicker in Hard.
@infantryhawk ep 3 plays about 21 years in the future while ep4 plays about after ep3 when a meteor crashes in the suteranian desert area... so basicly they continue the story... dunno if u can call it "finish" since i didnt play ep 3...
This guy was brutal on normal (so much so that he was even more challenging than most of the other bosses were on hard mode), but he seems to be less and less of a pain on the higher difficulties.
i can't remember but online u were lv 1 and i tried to send u my guild card but u couldn't take because u were on a different version by the way im Darklord Ramar
i mean i could send the GC, but why would i do that if we can't play together, not to mention my GC changes constantly to avoid ban, to bad the ip ban is worse to avoid.
If there is one thing I have to say about this boss is.....the green one caught me by surprise. I was fighting the rare one like I normally do for the normal one. Grants still works wonders but those spinny things just get so annoying after about two minutes and everyone but me dies.
This song sounds more alien and more like a traditional boss theme, but the IDOLA Fanatic Viper theme has that unreal feeling that I like about the other PSO final boss themes.

Pansy Boss will always remain Pansy. I dunno. I always destroy this guy.
Shambertin is the most interesting
Kondreiu and that Saint-Milion guy are way more pansier than the dragon.
Zerk+Charge his Neck and Tail = Win.

@VEKL0R but theres only one boss on ep4 :/
NinjaAngel619 1 year ago
@NinjaAngel619 Actually, there are 3 different bosses. Randomly generated each time you go in.
Shambertin.
Kondrieu.
And Saint-Million.

@Medicguy2 Yes, on SCHTServ.
Kondrieu is the rare boss, you can find him on either PoD or Sub Desert.
Shambertin is the boss when doing PoD.
Saint Million is the boss when you go through Sub Desert.

ep4 unfortunatly isn't avaiable for gc, it's an expansion made for pso blue burst.
yes, pso gc does have multiplayer, very handy to do offline challenge mode.

They are both good songs, but why does PSO Ep.IV have two songs for essentially the same final boss area?
SeraphimSwordmaster 3 years ago
don't know, one boss is the normal/rare version, the other is for the point of disaster quest.
KIREEKPSO 3 years ago
Hrm... Quite a mystery, eh? Oh well, both songs rock.
SeraphimSwordmaster 3 years ago
what Kireek said.
The main reason, I think, is that the quest (POD) deals with the story of ep 4
they should make (even more awesome) versions of the other final bosses XD
