One of the three brothers died for power, just as Tom Riddle/Voldemort died in his quest for total control. One died for lost love, just as Snape put himself in harms way out of his love for Lily Potter. The third brother greeted death like an old friend - Harry allowed himself to be struck down by Voldemort, where he was then given the choice to continue life or not. The story of Harry is just a retelling of the Tale of The Three Brothers.

I believe it was infact Dumbledore who greeted death like an old friend, greeting Snape, the man who killed him.

Did Harry die? Remember he was the Master of Death when Voldemort "killed" him. He had the Elder Wand (the allegiance of it), the Cloak and the Resurrection Stone. Can the Master of Death die?
