Yeah it needs LOTS of work. Bring out your percussions more. Give the snare a little bit of reverb, up the mid frequencies on your hi hats, pump up the compression and low ends on your kick drum. Replace the bassline synth completely. The acid bass doesn't fit with the song at all. You need a good punchy bassline or a nice sawtooth bass for your detuned saws. You'll get used to it, man. Keep it up, and contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah the bass is pretty pathetic. I didn't spend as much time as i should have on the drums and the bass on this track. When it comes to making trance Im sort of old school thats why i'm using the acid bassline.

Hey it's what I'm here for. I've been a producer for quite some time and all the help I can give I will. Keep it up, though. There's nothing wrong with being old school about trance, but an acid bassline won't cut it for any trace. Maybe it can add to the feeling of your bassline, but as the main bass, it just doesn't complete it.

now im not arguing that you are a prducer but if this is so then how can you tell this kid to use a compressor on his tune when most producers say never to do this as it stops a prducer from grabing the signal clearly.?

Most producers recomend that you dont use compressors to crush the signal they can still greab it but not nearly as well as if they hadnet used a compresseor. its not that you can its more that its preferd not to.:)

Work on better bass, and those snare rolls are just crap. Make 'em better. Your build-ups take me high, but let me down as soon as the new measure kicks in... gotta fix all this.
